Hey there!!! Well everything moved pretty fast didn't it! Now having a small panic about getting the mortgage. Looking on the mortgage board it seems they are taking anywhere from two to seven weeks, and with my self employment it may take longer than the norm 🙄
Kittens are definitely coming out of their shells, lots of wrestling this morning, think the bigger one who was initially more timid is trying to reassert dominance 😂
I have never fancied Hamilton at all, but I actually enjoyed it. Enough to decide to organise to see it next year in the West end when it reopens. The theatre FB group I am on has reviewed a lot of the cheaper seats so know I can see it for around £35/40 with a decent view. It wasn't anywhere as fast as I had been led to believe, easy to follow lyrics (although we had subtitles on) and the story wasn't difficult to follow, and my knowledge of American History is pretty sketchy 🤷 it's worth a watch if you have Disney+ or can borrow a login for an evening 😉Debt free Feb 2021 🎉5 -
fingers crossed it goes through nice and quick for you then
Kitten stage is the best, something I haven't experienced for years though as all mine have come to me fully grown
I'm not really a musical fan but I hear so much about it I feel like I should give it a go, maybe on a rubbishy weather evening i'll have a try...rather than re watching stuff I've already watched...….haha

I am not a musical film fan, but like stage shows 🤷 if you give it a go definitely have the subtitles on, I think it helped, and I feel much more confident about w to ing it live now and following it.
Mortgage application is in! Broker has put it through with Santander. Really hope it is agreed. Having a wobble over claiming the seiss grant now after reading some comments on the mortgage board 😱 but although I had no income in April and may, I am almost back to normal now. I will qualify for the second grant, but won't claim until the mortgage is approved. Hopefully because we only want approx 70%LTV and my income is quarter of husband's we should be ok! I know we can provide any documents if asked but I just cba to wait for a decision 😂
The cats are much more settled now. O (smaller one) is a bit of a demon, but A (bigger one) seems to have spent the day trying to assert his dominance, so lots of wrestling and fighting going on. But they have been exploring a lot more. If we do move then definitely think cat proofing the garden is the way to go.
I think this diary will become my dumping ground for the stresses of moving, that way I won't annoy everyone in my day to day life, it's still financial and tied into being debt free......honest 😉😂Debt free Feb 2021 🎉5 -
Diaries keep us sane and therefore more on course money wise. Glad the kittens are settling inAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Lots of play fighting from kittens this morning! A is sneezing a lot, seems to do it when he wakes up, eating, Drinking, toileting fine, although more reserved he is playful. No nasal discharge. Spoke to breeder, she said he didn't sneeze before. Beginning to wonder if he has an allergy? Going to see how he is today and maybe give the vet a call for a check over. They are booked in for snip and microchipping and general health check in a month, but I will definitely get him seen sooner if he carries on. They came with four weeks insurance, need to go through their paperwork. And transfer their ownership with the registered body.
Solicitor emailed this morning, all paperwork received, which is a relief, never 100% confident with Royal Mail after working in an office 😂 I am very glad I decided to pay more, she has been very proactive with communication which tbh is what we all need when buying/selling property!
Electrician may pop over today to look at the flickering light, and I must chase the plumber! Typically I am out working for 5hours, but hubby is here (in meetings) and the boy is capable of showing them what is wrong. Really hopeful it is just a lose connection, or dodgy light switch. We had the light fitting replaced in Dec, but it was a bit dodgy before hand which suggests it's to do with the switches not the actual fitting.
Anyway, best get to workDebt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -
PD is quite a sneezy cat - but mostly after she’s had a bath and inhaled a nose of her own fluff at the same time 🤧 Hopefully he’s fine and just adjusting to your house, but I’m sure the vet will be happy to advise on the phone if you’re worried. Kittens also tend to go through quite a farty stage at around 6 months, so be warned 🤣 I’m impressed you’re managing to get so much done with two wee fur balls about the place. It’s bad enough here with only one furry delinquent 🤣

Annoyingly the Mortgage brokers assistant sent an email asking for more detail about how covid has impacted my self employment. It went my junk folder so I didn't see it yesterday. I was hoping to apply for the second seiss grant, but am thinking it may not be a good idea right now. My income has obviously dropped since January anyway because of my bookkeeping job, so don't know if this may be an issue. Just really hoping because my income is so low it won't impact too much. Also I am nearly back up to a full client list, and am doing more tenancy cleans atm.
Kittens still sneezing a bit, but both did it by the open window, so thinking it's more environmental than anything else.
Doing some bookkeeping work tomorrow, then on to a job. Two jobs on Friday. My last client is back in two weeks as taking a day off next week as we have booked a parking space at the beach! Hubby is off all week next week. We have to visit the solicitors with id and having the oven cleaned, and hopefully the plumber will come by at some point. He has the part that needs replacing, so I just need to nag him now.
Electrician came out and replaced a lightswitch so the light is no longer flickering. Will need to patch the paint a bit as the wall was plastered a couple of years ago so now the paint is chipped. Not a big job though, will do it at the weekend.
Beginning to panic a bit about how much I want to save before we move. I know the fees can be borrowed from dad, but really don't want to owe any money when we move.paperwork for the mortgage showed our monthly payment, 😱😱😱 I know we can afford it, but it's still a large payment! Ok, panic subsiding, it will work out if it's meant to be right?Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -
Bill for electrician came in, wow😱 for one light switch! All paid and I know it's always best to get an expert in where electrics are concerned, and I am paying a premium for someone who actually returned my call and came and did it within five days. But still pricey 😂
Must chase the plumber later too.
Need to book the mot in. And am desperately trying to save cash. Looking at our budget going forward and seeing which bills may increase, although I am hopeful that the car insurance will go down due to finally parking the car on my own property.
Nothing more from the mortgage application, but looks like they are not looking at any queries from yesterday just yet. Tbh I doubt we will get an offer (or rejected) until towards the end of August. Still hoping for an early November completion date if it all works. Sellers solicitors have received all there paperwork back apparently, so assume we will see that at some point next week.
Housebuying in England is soooo slow! I have decided to go for a home buyers survey, but don't want to book it until we have the mortgage offer, but surveyors are apparently really busy, so I don't want to hold anything up either........gah, adulting is hard 😂😱Debt free Feb 2021 🎉5 -
Hey @Drawingaline, just catching up on your diary and wow! Excellent news on the house sale and purchase! Fur babies sound great fun too and congratulations on the weight loss. I just seem to be going in circles with mine.
