Wow! The apple and cherry braid worked perfectly even though I put the unmelted butter straight in the breadmaker. Absolutely gorgeous thankyou.:j0

I never bother to melt the butter first, it works fine. Got one in the BM now, will do a savoury (cheese and chopped onion possibly) and a sweet one, going to try spreading jam or lemon curd on the inside, then ice the top when cooked...... :j... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

joey i always melt the butter for my apple braids. nto sure why but always have melted butter beforeadding to BM recipes.
however i find the braids turn out just as good weather butter melted or not , so i guess it just down to personal choice in the end.
well last night hubby went out to hockey and both kids fell asleep really quick. i was so bored and restless , that i though if i don't get on with stuff i am really gonna go insane.
so i measured out all the ingredaints in a bowl to make the rainbow cakes then i sat in lounge just mixing away. didn't wanna stand for too long or make myslef poorly so i just took it easy. i made a bathc of rainbow cakes and a batch of chocoalte fairy cakes. it eas so relaxing i felt great. i really enjoyed it.
i have at the mo got a chilli in the slow cooker. it uses chunkc of lamb but said beef would work just as well. i got it from this months Easy cook magazine. it smells very spicy. my taste buds are all pete tong at mo so no idea if i will like itlol. just waiting for little girl to go to bed then hubby and i gonna have our tea. son is already in bed asleep. he is shattered.

Well been a busy old day here.Had to spend ages getting parcels ready for posting of the items we sold on Ebay and also contacting the sellers to collect the bigger items.Managed to get a bit of cooking done tried out the banana bread and it is much nicer than my old recipe which was a bit stodgy. Also made some scones to be filled with cream and jam tomorrow.Naughty I know but lovely:D Also made some Choc cornflake cakes as we had half a box of cornflakes that needed using up.We had an extra mouth to feed for tea as my ES had a schoolfriend round for tea. They had HM Chicken Nuggets and wedges and I ended up with clean plates so it couldnt have been that bad:D
