Dee those savoury muffin recipes sound great.I am dying to know how they worked out if they are nice please post the recipes as I have to admit I have never tried savoury muffins before.

Talking of Strawberries is it just me or are they a lot more expensive this winter?I remember buying them all last winter for my YD who has a serious addiction and like Dees son would eat them all day long and they weren't above £2 a punnet but this year they are loads more than that!

    :hello:

I've just joined this thread and am reading through the back posts.

I know this is more about shopping from home etc but thought I would passon this tit bit I found out yesterday.

"Tesco had haggis on promotion from £1.38 to £0.98 ending today{this was yesterday}(burn's night special) anyway true to form there weren't any left; however the assistant I spoke to told me to go to CS and ask for a "Promotion Promise Voucher", I picked up the other bits I needed, mainly flour for baking, Utterly Butterly 500g promotion 61p and headed off.

At CS asked for this voucher and was asked how many I wanted it for and it is now good for whenever I'm next in and they have sufficient stock for me to purchase.

Safeway used to do this, but I didn't know that Tesco did will ask next time I'm in Sainsburys as well.

I had planned on buying at least 6 as we use 2 of these per meal, and that would see us thru to the warmer weather (she hopes).

SOOOOOO basically if any of the supermarkets have a promotion and no stock ask for a Promotion Promise Voucher, then you still get the savings even after the promotion is ended.

  • Not been on for a while so just reading the back posts....hope everyone is well.
Have been busy getting DS settled into school...he has one to one help for morning and am still fighting for help in the afternoon:rolleyes: .
He has now been diagnosed with dyspraxia on top of his autism:eek: .
He seems to be settling into school ok but have had to get him ear defenders as the noise bothers him.
He had a huge meltdown this morning before school as he didnt want to go...they practice their writing in the mornings and ds just cant do it...cant hold a pen to even start it...school are looking into Alphasmart instead...after a lot of him rolling around the floor and hitting and shouting this morning he cried all the way to school and to top it all off I burst into tears when trying to explain to his LSA why he was upset...i do not seem able to talk about his problems without getting upset:confused: .
He is also bringing his packed lunches home uneaten and refuses to have hot dinners so thats another problem..apart from that he has settled better than I thought.
I now have a Panny:j and it is working brilliantly....much better than my other BM which made bricks:rotfl:.
Today I had one of those French loaf tins delivered so have the dough in the Panny now and going to give those a try today.

Also had a book delivered on Container gardening and planning to read that when I get a chance and start growing my veg.

Sold quite a bit on Ebay/Amazon in last 2 weeks and made 70 quid which I am pleased about.

Doing some meal plans today and doing online shop at Mr T`s.

Sausage toad, mash and veg for tea.......also making some white choc crispies with ds when I pick him up from school as he loves doing this:rotfl:
