afternoon all.
well i've had a morning from hell i think.
my mum text me at 7 saying the family dog ( he 17) took a turn for worst and it was time for the vet's. knew it was coming but still didn't want it to. i told her i was coming. i made myself get up. never taken me so long to get sorted, but the shower did make me feel loads better. had a mega long cry. at vets what seemed hours but guess it wasn't. i know it for the best, but it was so sad. pip didn't even move it was like he was already un-conscieous before we got there. mum phoned about half hours ago and she still crying. so been a hard day.
more positivly tho , i am feeling alot better. i have pulled my tummy with all the coughing and that is really hurting, but i am able to sit up without being in pain . and i've done a 2 week meal planner and then done and order online at tesco and it comes to £41. so printed off the shopping list then will pop over to the store to buy it. as cot some instore vouchers to use. £10 off when i spend £30. was gonna do a huge shop, but can't really afford it this month after paying the car bill.
i've got a really nice meal planner organised. can't wait to start it. just need to work out when i can get to tesco. although if i go while im still feeling a little poorly. i'm likely to stick to shopping list as i will want to be in and out in 5 min's. lol.
i will have a properly look at recent posts when i have more time. so i make sure i've not missed any good recipes.0 -

Dee, it sounds as if you are doing a fab job with your family, as are many other parents here. Unsung heroes and heroines, eh?
I suppose in comparison, in a lot of ways I have things easier, so it does me good to see that other folks get on with their lives, giving life's crises a 'proportionate response' instead of getting wound up as I do sometimes.
Over the past couple of years I've really tried hard (especially in the winter months, I have SAD, so this is sometimes an issue) not to let things wind me up as much and to find easier solutions to things that go wrong.
I've just looked up and out of the big windows, there's a beautiful pink and blue sky, does it mean we'll have a good day tomorrow?"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi everyone! jcr16, I hope you are feeling better soon. Well done Lesley! I need to re do my kitchen, any chance you can pop round?
I am still admiring my new tidy store cupboard, I would share pics, but don't have a digital camera, maybe that's one for the birthday wish list - at least DD1 won't say it's boring because it's a kitchen gadget :rotfl:

i feeling a bit better thankyou.
very heavy cold now tho. and i have coughed so much my belly is very very tender to touch. so i am taking it easy. i've just made a lemon and honey to drink , taste a bit of cardboard in a bitter yucky way , lol.
lesley what a great amount to make on ebay.
i've not put anything on ebay in ages to sell. i have two pairs of brand new jeans i bought for my little girl , which just arent' big enough. shame as they gorgeous. but she is so tall.
gonna grab another early night i think tho , as school in morning . so back to routine. although my mum did say if i needed her to she would pop up and take my little girl to school. have to see how it goes.
hubby is playing hockey in evening tomoz, so i have a long evening to myself to do some much needed baking .0 -
jcr16 just take it easy and take all the help that is offered! The house may get dusty and you find the store cupboard takes a pounding, getting the baby here at the least stress to you is the main thing imo0

Hey Everyone,
Been a really busy day for us today, had a family party to go to this afternoon, to which 3yr old ds thought it was his opportunity to run around in circles for the whole afternoon! Was no problem getting him to bed tonight!
DH just been paid, bit of a rubbish pay this month cos they earned no bonus in Dec, so although we can meet the bills, food etc ok, its still a bit of a tight month for us, so ill be counting on you all to keep me in line!Need to have a day of batch baking i think, so ill be trawling through the threads to find some recipes!
jcr16, hope you feel better soon, and try the delegating form of chores....much more fun than actually doing them!
bonsibabe, sorry to hear about your cat.
ravylesley, well done on your ebay sales!
J xx0
