Hi all just thought i would pop in and say hi to you all. Having a manic week. We got a cat and unfortunately he doesnt seem to be settling in at all. Am a bit upset about it but have to remember that he is not a kitten.
On a high note. I wrote to O2 about 422 quid they owed me. Found out that they had made a refund that we hadn't noticed of 250 quid. Thought that would be it. But they are sending a cheque of 150 quid as a gesture of goodwill. So am really pleased with that.
Now if only the banks and other places would get back to me regarding the payment protection, I would be a very happy bunny!
Take care all and hope I will be able to talk to you all properly very very soon!

Dee I have to agree with the others that you cope with your son incredibly well and put people to me to shame that complain when their kids have a whingey day!
Well house looks like a bombsite, kitchen is even worse, tiling is finished but can't put anything back until the grouting and papering is done. This could be a very long and trying day!Off to have a leisurely shower in a moment then clean the bedrooms and bathroom to give his lordship time to grout the tiles and hopefully paper the wall above them at the back of the fridge/freezer so I can put my mountain of mess back on top and restore order to my kitchen well my sort of order anyway:rotfl:
jcr16 hope you are feeling better this morning

Morning,
I agree with everyone else D&DD, after reading back on this thread, you do take everything as it comes and still manage to have a sense of humour. That takes some doing!
For me today, I need to get the house in order (since DS started nursery, its really hard to get into things properly!) do some baking, ive got loads of flour, fruit, chocolate etc, so id like to put that to good use!
DH is doing the bathroom for me today, needs re-painting and new flooring as the other one managed to get damp under it, so that needs sorting! I think baking with DS may be just the ticket to keep him away from the bathroom while the work is getting done!
Hope Everyone is ok and has a great day! xx0 -
Hi everyone, I'm up to post 721! lol
Well, I might have nipped to tesco last night and bought a doughnut maker :rotfl: D&DD, I posted on freecycle and got a reply within an hour! Picking up later today, not sure of make but beggars can't be choosers. Noticed back about 900 thread (tee hee) that you're keyboard is wonky, have you tried to get an unwanted one from freecycle? Just a thought
Well, going to get the doughnuts started and some porridge for brekkie (mine with salt, OH with sugar and golden syrup). I'm scottish and any other way but with water and salt just isn't porridge..... I'll catch up with you all soon (well, in about 1100 posts)....Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -
Just having 5 mins sit down before starting on the pit of a house that seems to have been buried under a pile of ...everything over the last week
Have our respite boy here so boys are mobbing him as usualPeace!!!
Borders arrived from the states today and have already put one up and it looks gorgeous! I found it online about a year ago, stripped the old one off, went to order it and they had run out  Found a seller with it on Ebay at long last so now it is finally finishedI knew it would be perfect but I'm chuffed to bits lol little things make my day!
Once the house is straight a MASS cooking session is in order..*with pics* I promiseI also have the latest storecupboard pics to put on too Its looking really tidy since I adopted the cannister approach and I seem to be able to store even more than usual..which is maybe not a good thing
Right need too get off me bot will catch up later hope everyone has a great day whatever you are doing
*must check freecycle later Mooky I always forget and when I checked last night someone had put up a Kenwood chef over xmas but I missed it!!*0 -
Well things not going too bad as grouting is finished and the papering is done.Fridge/freezer has been returned to its rightful position and all the assorted paraphernalia that is piled on top has also been returned. The family have consumed a fry up for lunch so In a minute will have to get up and motivate myself to wash up and start catching up on the housework. All I need to do is find a good movie to put on the kitchen tv and I'll be off.
As for freecycle I am sat here with my fingers crossed as someone posted a freezer up yesterday and I desperately need another one so hoping I get it.Somehow I dont think I will though
