I saw the additional charge in the details it was there when i booked and I have always had to pay extra for CC on holiday payments whenever I've booked. I think it is worth paying for the added insurance/security when booking a holiday online and so was happy to pay it especially as it allowed me another month to find the money since it wasn't budgeted for. As it's a percentage charge and the holiday was a third of the brochure price then the CC charge was also a third of the normal charge so thought it was a bargain.

Hope you get all your flight details through soon.

exactly right, i booked using my CC and knew the charge i was going to incur but it gives the insurance if the holiday company goes bust (i didn't realise it was Inghams at the time.)

Good luck with the shopping BigJonnyB ... glad mines all done

Been dreaming on lastminute.com and various other sites that have been mentioned here all night!

A couple of questons to those of you who have been previously, and thosse of you who are well reasearched...

Looking at going to the holiday club hotel in Saariselkä, mainly because it is half board. However also looking at the self catering apartments in Levi (its cheaper by £400)

Our youngest will be 3 while we are away. Can they can on all the sleigh rides? What about ski school? Unfortunatly oldest is 12, Am I right in thinking we pay adult price for him for most of the excursions?

Any advice would be most welcome at this point.

    Oh decisions decisions!
    hi shed head.
we went to saariselka last xmas and its the most magical place, its so quiet and peaceful and uncommercialised. there is a fantastic sledge run where you can watch the northern lights and the holiday club has a pool too. we didnt see a ski area there though. the kids can join in on all the excursions but on the skidoos they ride in a trailer wrapped in reindeer fur. i would definitley reccomend it for the wilderness factor, i would say though that most of the smaller children found it very cold (it was -22) you have to keep them moving all the time! hope this is of some help deciding!!

Have a wonderful holiday FluffyFiFi and all those leaving tomorrow. We have just finished buying all clothes and boots and were wondering how we will fit all the bulky stuff in the cases.

Think we spent more on the gear than on the holiday too!:D

Will be thinking of you this week.

Does anyone know what the luggage restrictions are with the lastminute deals? Is it one bag per person with a weight limit? The details are a little skimpy :o

20kg per person we were sent 3 lugguge tags each so presume you can have 3 bags each.

Thanks for the reply. How far in advance did you get luggage tags? All I have recieved is the invoice with confirmation of the flight details and accommodation?
