I think it was such a good deal to go half board that I don't think I would look at a flight only option. I thought it was very expensive in Finland and it was useful to have breakfast and evening meal included. Might not choose the Crazy Reindeer again, the K5 hotel looked nice although it was a bit out of the way.
We do hope to go back as we all really enjoyed the holiday, and now we have all the clothing it will be even cheaper.

Just read through this whole post and it brought back lots of memories! I went to Levi in January for my honeymoon and stayed at the K5 which was fab! I'm very jealous of you all going now!0

We are in Kittila airport at the moment waiting for the flight back to Bristol.
We stayed in the Sirkantahti hotel which was just about ok
I'm paying for this wifi, so I'll report back later.

We've just got back and for the first time in 8 days, I am freezing! Our heating is not working properly, I am shattered and it's too cold to even take my coat off! We left this afternoon and it was +4 degrees, arrived back at Birmingham to be told it was -3 outside!
Can I just say - I SAW THE NORTHERN LIGHTS! The entire trip was worth those few minutes. Absolutely breathtaking...
It is manic there this weekend. It has been pretty quiet all week; couldn't really go out in the evenings with smaller children and there was no-one in the bar so we stayed in virtually every night - but things were manic at breakfast this morning at the Sirkantahti where we stayed too. The Christmas rush is officially on!
Inghams aren't really very hot with the kids and tend to keep a low profile in general. The Cosmos reps kept adopting our kids, played with them at the hotel, gave them felt tips and looked after them at the indoor activity centre too.
Well worth it. I've been before without OH and didn't think I'd get to take him. It's such a beautiful place; the sky is beautiful almost all of the time when it is light as it is essentially a long dawn followed by a long sunset - the sun never makes it above the horizon. We'd love to go back and do Christmas as a familyEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I just wanted to say thank for posting this. I had been trying to persuade dh all year that we should take our 3 kids (5,5 and 3) to Lapland but the shorter trips were really expensive for a family of 5 and seemed to represent such poor value for money.
We booked with Inghams and had a fantastic week at the Crazy Reindeer in Levi. I am really not sure we would have went at all if not for this post - so thanks again xx0 -
We just arrived back too....and its warmer inLapland !!!
We missed the Notrthern Lights TWICE!! We were to cold to go out that night it was minus22...but all week was fine.Had great time and will look next year for offers, spoke to few familys who paid £155 for Half board!!I would love to be a Travel Agent :j0 -
Does anyone know if Lastminute.com do this every year as we want to go back. Especially as some of you got to see the Northern Lights, I am so disappointed that we didn't. The weather didn't really change from being a grey and overcast sky the whole week we were there, but despite that it was still fantastic.0
