Drinking was very expensive, luckily we had brought a wine box with us from Gatwick and we could have a glass of wine in the evening in our room. The room we had in the Crazy Reindeer also had a dishwasher which was handy as we tended to have breakfast there rather than get up so early and go down to the restaurant. The darkness in the morning is not nice, it doesn't start to lighten up until 10 ish and even then it is still murky and not very inviting.[/quote]
Hi we were in the same room on the 9th as you and you left your wine box behind the little door above the window :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl: small world aint it0 -
i took a box of wine too!

2 adults and 2 children staying in a 2 bedroomed log cabin in Yllas for a week (28th dec 08) with flights for £1700, you can get it cheaper if you go for the smaller/cheaper cabins, you should get it for about £1500 for that time of year, not the great deals you got for the last min deals this year but still very good in comparison to inghams book price, however, if you don't have kids then you need to check out inghams as they may be cheaper, crystal are only cheaper as they are giving out the free kids places etc
crystal are also giving £200 off on-line bookings which is better than inghams early bird0 -

Hi Supermum4, WOW, we only realised we had left it behind when we got home. We left it in the window to keep it chilled!!!!
What did you think of the room - we all thought it was great.

i booked with Inghams Jan 07 for Dec 07.
I got a £200 discount (earlybird) and then an additional £160 (£40ea) for booking online.
I've had a look at Crystal and the earliest departure is 14th , is that right? . i havent got the brochure though, only going by the website0 -

Hi
Apologies if I am asking questions already ansered but I read all the last four pages and still have some questions from those of you who went last year.
Think this is going to be the last year my 8 year old believes and would like to go. Just wondering if you recommend it with a 8, 6 and 2.5 year old. Is there creche facilites or anything to do with the little one. (I know nothing about ski holidays).
We live in the Emerald Isle and day trips for 2 adults and 3 kids are coming in at approx £2000 sterling (with free child place) so am hoping to go via the UK and have a weeks hols.
If you had 7 days and kids my age, what would you suggest itinerary should be?
Also, I know someone asked this question but did not see an answer, do these offers tend to happen each year.
Also, someone mentioned Cosmos Reps adopting their kids, does anyone run kids clubs over there (sorry if this is a silly question:rolleyes:)
Thanks0 -
Yes, I would recommend. The 2.5 year old shouldn't really spend that long outside so it's good if there are two parents
I'd bring my little one indoors after an hour.
We only booked a couple of trips. One for a reindeer ride and the other was a trip on skidoos to visi santa in his log cabin.
In Levi, there is a hotel with an indoor children's play area and there is also a free outdoor 'kidsland' which has lots of sledges and a mini ski-lift which is where we spent a LOT of time! We even bought a snow shovel for our seven year old and he spent forever outside playing, digging, making igloos etc with the other boys. Kidsland also has little organised activities and it operates a creche during the day
You can learn to ski there as well, no problems - I'm not a skier but I was certainly inspired - next time definately! It's not the busiest of places outside the school holidays and we were in a small hotel which was a little bit rubbish for us of a night-time! But it was a relaxed and relatively classy week for the four of us.
The scenery is magical, the daylight is really a very long sunrise followed by a very long sunset so the sky was always beautiful reds, oranges, pinks and blues and we also got to see the Northern Lights :j
It was the best family holiday we have had, by a long stretch.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
