is operated by these guys,
http://www.levi.fi/aurorasafaris/
i had excellent communication with them, you can book and they don't take any money until you arrive for the trip, not cheap but none of them are and at the ned of the day it's a one-off......... beats arriving at a commercialised circus by coach
they dont take any money till you get there. thats good.
did they mention anything about cancellation? what if you had to cancel?
i think i will book it but my FIL is very ill in hospital at the moment. he's ok at the moment but his heart stopped last thursday and they managed to revive him. all looks ok at the moment and he's told us to go but, if the worst happens, the holiday is covered but dont think this would be? i might leave it til closer to the time .0 -

try and get a refund.
i know they're non refundable or amendable but sometimes, when you explain the situation, they do make allowances
worth a try!0 -
I've booked the Crazy Reindeer for 2nd December for the four of us (two children aged 9 and 11) and Inghams have allocated us two double rooms. This means my husband and I will be sleeping in separate rooms with one child each. Not great for us. Inghams told us that although we booked one room they do not actually use the larger rooms and we would have to contact the hotel direct.
After several e-mails the Crazy Reindeer says they will upgrade us to a family room but it will cost us 180 euros (about £130).
This seems a bit over the top as two rooms on their website cost more than one family room.
I also thought they would prefer to free up a twin room and let us have the family room at a nominal fee.
Any thoughts most welcome.

I have recieved an invoice this morning from Inghams. They have charged me an extra £12 for using my credit card, despite it not saying anything about this on the payment screen or the confirmation email from lastminute.
The invoice also makes no mention of the flights - it just says 'accommodation only' and just has the hotel details.
Did anyone get any extra info? How have you all booked extra excursions/skiwear hire etc with them?
Thanks in advance,

ALL lastminute holidays have a 1.5% CC charge, it is written in the 'details' button when you search a holiday, it breaks down all the holiday info and adds the CC charge details at the bottom, unfortunately you can actually go straight through to the payment stage without realising this if you don't bother looking through this 'details' page i always factor this in with Lastminute.
Having no flight info is a bit worrying though :cool:0 -
Have phoned them up - for some reason my flight details were booked separately to the accomodation. They confirmed the details however, and are sending out a new invoice with all the details on (as long as they don't try charging me again
).
They told me that all transactions levy the 1.5% fee, I just find it incredibly poor that the fee isn't actually mentioned anywhere directly as an additional charge. I have booked with lastminute.com before, and usually it comes up with the amount you'll be charged, so at least I know and can use a debit card. This time it didn't add anything I presumed cc was okay with Inghams. They really should add the charge to the total, or at least make it clearer on the final page (and confirmation). Still, wont let it ruin the holiday. Need to spend some time looking at excursions etc - so much to do yet so little time!

I saw the additional charge in the details it was there when i booked and I have always had to pay extra for CC on holiday payments whenever I've booked. I think it is worth paying for the added insurance/security when booking a holiday online and so was happy to pay it especially as it allowed me another month to find the money since it wasn't budgeted for. As it's a percentage charge and the holiday was a third of the brochure price then the CC charge was also a third of the normal charge so thought it was a bargain.
Hope you get all your flight details through soon.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0
