This has really tempted me, I would like to take my nephew and sister-in-law for a really special treat.
I normally research loads before a holiday but time of of the essence - what is levi like? How does it compare to the other resorts? Will we be able to do one of these 'find santa in the woods' type things?
Thanks in advance for any advice...

on a night time there isnt much to do, but after a busy day on the slopes or on a trip all you will want to do is have a sauna and go to bed (we had one in are room). i think theres about 3 nightclub(one at the crazy reindeer). beer is dear there so if u drink alot take a lot of money.as for find santa go to information centre there dont book that throught inghams.book it you will love it. we going again next year.
  • Thanks a lot welly. Went ahead and booked it - going out on the 9th December for a week :D. Told my sister in law, and she is really happy as her and my nephew have had a really tough year. We're not going to tell my nephew just yet, it'll be an extra special suprise for him.
My partner is coming as well, so it'll be a nice get away. Should be lovely and magical, with a little bit of time for some fun in the snow, and a bit of relaxing too. Could not resist at the prices at lastminute...thanks to the op for posting this ;)

Do you realise what you've done BigJonnyB ???, you're going to spend the next three weeks surfing this & tripadvisors forums for info on tips & trips etc etc, you'll be looking at the Levi webcams on a daily basis to make sure the snow hasn't disappeared overnight and you'll be down to TKMaxx, Lidl, Decathlon, Sportsworld, M&S, ebay and any other ski/cold related shop you can find for the next two weekends collecting socks, thermals, jackets, boots, goggles etc etc etc ........ great isn't it
  • I'm a bit confused (doesnt take much!)

I booked to go to Levi and i've booked the Santa park. I've now read on here not to book with inghams. have i booked the wrong one or is the santa village different?

also, i just read on here that ski hire is free for under 7s. weve booked thermal suits for all of us (Me, my hubby, son (8) daughter (6)..) should i have booked the suit for my daughter?

we've also booked the reindeer super safari.

    can anyone recommend anything else?

    thanks in advance!

We've given the Santa Park/Village a miss and booked on an 'Aurora' Snowmobile Safari to see Santa instead, only because of the respective bad and good reports, we get a 25km snowmobile ride, see santa in his log cabin and a short Reindeer ride... maybe not quite as commercial ??? we'll see in 14 days

You get free Ski's, Boots (don't need poles) & Helmets for all u7's (via a token from reps), the suits aren't free so i'd leave them booked.

We've booked the Super Husky Safari, this was equally rated to the Super Reindeer so i don't think you'll go far wrong there.

    thanks for all your advice

after reading all your comments and looking on tripadvisor (also through advice on here), santapark seems to be pretty poor. i've yet to find a good comment!

i've phoned inghams this morning to cancel it. as we're going on the 2nd they said its too late for any amendments (as we're within 14 days) so they said i'd have to book the husky ride when we get there and then send our santapark vouchers back. she made it sound like i'd have to wait til we got back to send them in but i asked if i can send them in now and she said yes.

curlytb, the Aurora Snowmobile safari? whats that?

    This Trip

    is operated by these guys,
    http://www.levi.fi/aurorasafaris/

i had excellent communication with them, you can book and they don't take any money until you arrive for the trip, not cheap but none of them are and at the ned of the day it's a one-off......... beats arriving at a commercialised circus by coach
