Evening all,
Another 2 NSDs in the bag meaning I'm on a 5 day streak and 8 in total.
I know it's not the goal but I'm so pumped for January, it feels really good to be on a winning streak that I'm going to try beat it again in Jan.
Will have to spend tomorrow as we need milk/eggs etc. My parents are visiting in the afternoon so might get some scones in too.
Having casserole for tea tonight, was delighted to find all the ingredients I needed in the fridge. Most of it on the turn but definitely usable and I'm sure delicious. (I only chuck it when it's either floppy or mouldy, best before dates on fresh drives me crazy as a lot of stuff lasts well beyond that).
Grateful today for a 4pm finish, a good dinner, the glass of wine waiting for me after DDs bedtime and seeing The Greatest Showman.Money Saving since 2016 and determined to be debt free by 2020.0 -
NSDs 9 - not one today - Sains shop
Lunches taken/ prepped at home - no - we had afternoon tea for lunch - but the voucher for it was a Xmas present, so I figure it was ok

Exterminate Facebook gone from phone. Will keep it off. Regenerate - will re-start cleaner eating - starting with dropping sugary snacks in between meals - sugary snacks are being consumed.....:o

Day 29
NSD achieved today 11/15.
Added up what has been spent this month as I have no intention of spending the last few days of the year. Was an expensive month. Also added up what has been spent for the whole year in my notebook.
Still need to sort out my goals for 2018.
Grateful for:
A walk in the park.
Walked to and from friend's place.
Spent some time at friend's and had a nice time.
My friend inviting me over for dinner on New Year's day.

I haven't been posting much this month, but I have been reading, and keeping tally of spends, NSDs and decluttering totals.
I have just totalled my spends for December, and had a nasty shock
My husband has a nasty back injury and my daughter has just had a baby, and what with that and Christmas, I have truly taken my eye off the ball
Shopping, including milk bill, Christmas food, everything - 547.90 / 350(and this doesn't include various loyalty points, vouchers etc that I also used)
Petrol, parking etc - 125.99 / 65
Christmas, presents, decorations, cards, wrapping etc - 177.44 / 150
Toiletries, health, beauty - 90.66 (included a dental bill)
Personal 57.47 / 100
The real shocker was the food, I over bought as usualBut on the plus side, none will be wasted. It wasn't just food for December, as it included a bulk meat order.
Christmas spends don't look too bad, all things considered, but I already had some presents, wrapping, etc, probably £120 worth or thereabouts, either left over from last year, or presents bought early when I saw a bargain.
The only plus is that none of this went on a credit card, loan or overdraft, and I can only do better next month!0 -
Today I am grateful for snow (I simply adore the white stuff but sadly reside within the m25 so rarely see it), for time at my sister's, for meeting up with a friend from Spain, for good buys with dd in the charity shops, for a warm house to return to, for the lovely bus driver stopping for us, for baked potatoes, for WSM, for a chat with dh.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
