Good evening every one.Hope you are all warm and safe.
Spend day yesterday. £34.62 in Mr.T. not too bad as I've now got plenty of fruit and veg.Things for the freezer and some bits for Christmas.
Today I had my hair done,£7, but that was budgeted for at the startof the month.
Got rid of a few bits to the charity. In truth,a lot more could go but i might try to ebay some first.
    Still haven't had any chocolate,think I might soon ;)

Shopping for mum, playing with babies until gone 3pm - mummy twins were at mum's with the baby twins, the 1yo boy and one of the daft dogs. When they had gone I did a bit of outside work (not much as I was not dressed for it and it was cold), spent a couple of hours putting together hm Christmas cards, writing and stamping them, around making soup for mum and beans for me.

Then put loops on some more cards that have arrived and replaced some - I refused to carry on with the foil thread as the double knot loops just came apart and put together a shopping list (had checked all the tinned stuff earlier) to buy next week but hopefully covering the next 3 weeeks.

Sparkle One of the cards had a silver bauble made of glitter, so I am now very sparkly.

Wrote a letter for mum neatly so that she just had to sign it (for the consultant and all the staff at the eye unit where they tried to save her left eye). She wrote last week to the thoracic medicine consultant, thanking him.

I came home as I was so tired I was starting to drop things. Went to the post box with all the postal delivery cards and letters (2 to ex work colleagues of mum's). Still lots to do but quite happy with what I have done (just getting rid of assorted cards/ envelopes and bits of embroidery was a big plus, makes it easier to see what I have. Four cards left to hand deliver (1 for a neighbour, 2 only two streets away and one to take with me on Monday).

Looked on bookface and saw DS1's post - they got the keys to their house last week, took them to the floor people who tried to push back the dates for doing the floor. They both had the day off today for Santa in the hi-vis jacket with the big delivery from the Swedish store (Ds1 posted a pic of the boxes, think it includes all the kitchen cabinets, wardrobes and of course shelves) and tomorrow the big van moves all of their existing stuff to the new house.

I did offer to help with putting stuff together (I trained that lad well) but DS1 was worried about having to work round the flooring people, who should have been finished on Wednesday, so thought extra bodies would not help.

Today I am grateful for playtime with babies, to mummy twins for getting things out of the attic, for still being better at settling babies (and recognising what is wrong - wind/ teeth/ cold/ tired) than my mum is and for getting things done, even though there is much still to do. Also very grateful that DS1 did not need my help - my arm is really hurting and I keep meaning to strap both ankles up. Doctor visit is a priority for next week.

    Morning all,

SFD number 6 yesterday :) Walked the dogs and got the dog guard fitted in my new car. Went to friends for a lovely dinner and got home for midnight.

Today I need to go to the shops which will be stupidly busy but at least I’m in no rush so don’t need to stress and can just potter in the crowds to get what I need.

Did some spending yesterday, I got my last present which was several bags of sweets for DS, I kept a jar from last year which was originally filled with sweets and re-filled it myself for this year.

Spent money in the charity shops on clothes for me and DD and some thing for DH too, wasn't planned but wasn't a huge spend.

Not sure what our plans for today are so will pop back later.

We ended up going for a walk on the canal path today to a little town, it is quite a long walk and it was very, very icy and the canal was quite thickly frozen over in parts.

We had a look around the two charity shops which are there and I bought a ceramic tea light lamp, handpainted in Devon according to the label, it is the type which has a small lamp base then a shade with holes in to go on top, very pretty and only £2.

We got a picnic lunch from Morrisons to eat in the park, not super cheap but didn't break the bank and is a little treat for the kids. We took our own flask of coffee. The dog fooled us by feigning jumping in the canal and then when we stopped watching him like a hawk he jumped in, I think he might be regretting it now.

It is taking me ages to thaw out courtesy of DD not dressing warmly enough then taking all my warm things.

    Day 16
Was a spend day. Had my hair cut. The hairdresser comes round the flat to do the hair. Notebook updated.
Only did a few things around the flat.
Went to see the priest to try and sort out the order of service for Mummy's funeral.
Sorted out notebook for next years spends but not the budget as yet.
    Grateful for:
Brother and sister helping out with things for the funeral.
Seeing the priest was better than I expected.
The postman waiting to see me to give me my book parcel that I won. He knew that I would not be long back only went to church to get newsletter.
    Thoughtful and caring people.
