    Day 10
Was a spend day. Brought a charity tshirt for something I am doing during January 2018 for a mental health charity.
Did not go out today due to the weather. Hope everyone stays safe and warm.
Caught up with a few things in the flat.
    Grateful for:
    Having a good night's sleep.
Cousin coming round to see me. Kindly brought me some chocolates.
Putting up the Christmas tree and crib and a few others decorations.
    Having a chilled out day.

A NSD. Stayed up until 6am, sewing osmething I need to be done for Wednesday. Slept for 3 hours then carried on. Have been more tired since dinner time but only a little left to do - then have to sew it up and stuff it. I would rather have it finished early rather then worry about last minute efforts. Also need to wrap some small gifts and fill a stocking and do more cards (Christmas and birthday). need to make sandwiches on Wednesday (small birthday party at crafts plus it's the last session this year).

Quite a lot of other things on the to do list but most of it could be shuffled around. Want things done this week rather than next but next week now has a few spaces - Thursday is last CBT session until after Christmas. I have agreed that I am spending Christmas at mum's (I had missed a phone call from her and when I called back she has already written a food shopping list including Christmas - they sent her a leaflet so she's been picking stuff out). Will ask DS3 and Beloved to contribute to my food list and then seperate out into home deliveries.

I promise I will take some time out to evaluate the year (have been pondering). Back to the sewing now.

Today I am grateful for easy food, for making progress with th sewing and only a few knots and twists (using up bits and bobs, some is a tangled mess), for being able to watch pretty snow falling but very grateful that it did not stay (if I get to go to the doctor's I don't want to be behind 900 elderly ladies in x-ray, or be one myself) and for Beloved putting up decorations in the front room.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

  • Gratitudes: No snow (not really, but snow would have made today so much harder) & that today is done.

Yup.. one of them days, the type that are best dealt with by putting a line under. Two trips into an overly crowded town, (mum wanted to go) doubly so as Lincoln's Christmas market was closed. :/ So lots of grumpy people growling at other grumpy people. Took mum home, Explored with DD1. Still full of grumpy people. Bah Humbug.

Spendy Day, - but avoided a trip (petrol) by paying for the last gift on my list today instead of Thursday from money set aside.

Avoiding bargain sites nicely now so (new) Exterminate: DH's reliance on nightcap(s) no idea where to start on this. I worry about the impact on his health, more than the £££ its costing. I have talked to him about it. It lasted two days. Every time I do it triggers stress on his side.
Remember: Large amount of chocolate remaining from the bark production yesterday, so dropped them at foodbank as they are short and have need.

Hope you are all cosy warm, and not looking at too many snowmen :D

F0xh0lesTo be honest with you if I hadn't experienced it first hand I wouldn't believe it was so bad. They agree they owe me, they just dont know why monies not going in my bank & they don't know what to do about it. Thank God I have the support of a friend who helps out as my childcare bill is 100 per day. If i wasnt so ridgid with budgets and able to live off so little I think we would easily & quickly get into debt or struggle to make ends meet!!

Today was a spend day so still on 6- want to be on 10 by the end of next week (go away fri) . i have stocked my cupboards though so its doable xx
  • Good evening
    4 NSDs, packed lunches everyday.
Walk in Wasdale snow, scattered bird food to help them and made me smile.
No lunch in pub took flasks of tea/coffee and lunched at home.
Rather than spend listed items for sale on EBay. Have a bid already
So than you to Apple Muncher as this challenge has made me plan to not spend and enjoy life without Commercialism

Budgets- still 56 in spends, only got to last 11 days and im away for 4 of those with a separate budget. Emergency fund still has 600 pounds in it. Need to get it to 1k. Hoping there will be money left over when I book Lapland uk in Jan and my from my sons christening budget. 2018 will see me save for disney in Paris alongside my emergency fund & house savings. Any extra money from now onwards will go into those :)

Today I am grateful for the lovely lady at church wiping my sons tears & giving him a tissue, for my Christmas lights off my mum- Id love loads but was surprised they were so expensive- will do Jan sales for more for next year , for my neighbours Christmas lights - making the whole estate look festive & giving me something to do with the kids (light spotting)

    #19 Checking in day 10

Debt Plan - no NSD for me due to boredom and browsing amazon. So still 3/15.
Exterminate - Have been on fb alot today checking if school is closed and just abit bored and lazy.
Clear up - Nothing here today bedside table is next on the list.
Explore - We walked to the pub for tea had to cancel visit to Santa but pub still accessible ( heavy snow here). DS loves seeing house decorations.
Mental Health - Cabin Fever set in and last nights night out was a bit flat so feel abit disappointed today. Also need to make up 7.5 hrs in work next week as I had to take Friday off as school was closed and I'm already struggling time wise all this is making me grumpy!
Budget - Out the window. Will look at this tomorrow and swap a few things around I hope.
Evaluate - Our general diet needs attention as a family so adding this to everything else starting with DS packed lunches he must be bored stiff with cheese sandwiches!
Remember - Not so much donations but helped clear driveways of neighbours and DH helped neighbour move stuck car

Fresh outlook needed for next week. Reorganised a few things so should be OK. Lucky I have my parents to help especially with childcare

Weekend visiting family but managed another 2NSDs.
    Grateful for
    · avoiding various motorway closures on our journey there and back
    · weather being better than predicted (no snow until home)
    · central heating working
    · plenty of food in so don't have to venture out tomorrow

Will be focusing on completing my "december" and thoughts for 2018 this week.
