Hi WB
I don't have a tumble drier and struggle to get washing dry as well. I try to wash with the weather but it's not always possible is it.
It's a shame that DS and DD won't be going back into school before term ends but for the few weeks left I'd also keep them home. I wonder if some high schools will hold transition days during the summer holidays to help Y7 pupils feel more at home when they go in September.
Good to read that you're all well and hopefully DD will get back to where she was health wise before long. Things seem to be getting back to some sort of normality now so hopefully your DLA will be sorted soon which I'm sure would be helpful for DS's school uniform list which sounds rather extreme! xx

It’s good to post positivity but it’s also good to get things off your chest too. Just do what’s right for you 👍
It’s a shame ds won’t get chance to say bye to his old school. Are there many of his peers moving on with him? There will be virtual meetings with his new school though and nobody will have had the usual induction days.
I’ve just been watching the new proposals about the end of shielding.....January spends - £587.585 -
I'm hopeful the end of shielding will mean its the end for us then. Although I'm unsure how we will just return to normal. I'm not sure. Will have to see what the consultants etc say.
No i think there's 2 others going to the high school DS is moving on to. The induction days are cancelled for everyone. I recieved a letter this morning saying they still don't know what will happen etc and they'll update us more at the end of July.
Tea she causes so much washing its impossible not to wash everyday. She keeps running out of clothes/pjs and that's with washing everyday.

Good to hear you’re all healthy and eating well. It’s a shame there are negative things in the background but you are doing the right thing by focusing on the positive. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or advice though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I've been reading about end of shielding. I expect a lot of people will feel anxious about 'returning to normal' but maybe a starting point for you might be playing in the garden or taking a walk when it's quiet without feeling too stressed about things. If I were you I'd definitely keep the shopping/medication deliveries etc. up and running for as long as possible.
We've already been told not to expect DS's school to be back to how it was when the new term starts and they've mentioned different years going in on different days. I'm trying not to think that he could possibly be off longer than the 6 months he'll have been at home! xx5 -
You're very quiet Wannabe. Hope everything is OK? XX

We are okay.
Things are pretty stressful shielding wise. With the government annoumment pausing it on the 1st August but her team stating we need to continue. It leaves me in a predicament with schools etc. I'm not sure of the solution.
Along with that its really been quite stressful despite not going out/having things to attend there still doesn't feel enough hours in the day to fit everything in. It actually feels worse especially with the schooling etc added in. That plus the weather meaning the washing is harder. The cleaning is harder. And I've just been feeling sorry for myself 😳
We are all okay though. Ups and downs with youngest. Looking at her she seems so much better on the new med regimes. But its brought a lot of side effects that are hard to juggle. Grateful they are working on the areas they should. Just finding it difficult to juggle the other stuff.
But we are okay.
Thank you for checking in x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”10 -
Not too long til the schools break up so that will be one less stress.
Ours broke up last week so the weather has been just dire!!I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. We are cleared until the new term in September Beanie. Shielding here is until the 1st august then 'paused' is the guidance from the government. However the specialist and consultant have said under no circumstances must we go back out to parks/shops/seeing people etc. So I feel kind of stuck in the middle and where I will stand in September with schools etc.
