I was listening to a hospital consultant on tv and he said to do exactly what you’re doing - listen to your own medical professional. It sounds as if you have a fantastic relationship with the medics dealing with dd. You are doing fantastically.I don’t suppose you’ve heard anything about the DLA yet have you.....do you have any idea how far along the queue you are now. We will have the hearing as soon as possible after shielding ends and I can attend (and so can the person supporting me/youngests case) hopefully not too far away.

We have had a rough few days. We all have been tested for covid and are negative which I think was obvious after we havent had any contact with outside. However we had to sit in a hot ward for 3 hours before being listened too and moved to a side room in the green zone. I'm really not happy with how things happened and I've contacted pals who are going to arrange it to be discussed.

Good news you all don’t have the virus but as you haven’t been anywhere and you’ve been so careful that’s not surprising. The hospital visit doesn’t sound great though, hope it gets sorted.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

It was just so badly handled. We went in as an emergency but I did prewarn them that we where arriving and are shielding etc. Yet they weren't ready for us when we got there. Waited 3 hours for them to reach the consultant. Then hours for the meds to be given so we could come home. It cost a fortune getting there and back. Spent the whole night there. When really they could have sent the med with a community nurse to give at home. We wouldn't have been sat on a covid ward. Or had to use a taxi etc.
