Absolutely everything is logo tea. Blazer, knitted sweater, tie, trousers, pe t-shirt, pe sweater, football top, 2 different shorts, joggers. Shirts and swim kit can come from anywhere. Then he needs trainers indoor & outdoor, shoes, bag, coat etc etc etc. That dont have achoo logo but are really specific colours/design wise.
I cant it feels crazy.
The girls uniform is much easier. Still a fair bit of logo things though.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”3 -

Its on the back beanie.
Its visible. Its the school logo.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”3 -
I think it's disgusting that schools are cashing in by insisting that logos have to be embroidered on school uniform. They obviously get a cut of the profit. Why can't a badge be used that can be transferred when new things have to be bought and why haven't they got some kind of system running where clothes that kids have outgrown can be handed on or bought cheaply???? In the financial climate that we're living in an awful lot of parents are going to be worried sick trying to provide a normal amount of uniform, never mind things like 3 different pairs of shoes!

Exactly, Chrystal. Something like a badge that can be transferred. As for logo on trousers - words fail me. Has nobody started a campaign of some sort to stop schools doing this? Given that people are really struggling financially at this time because of the virus this is even more ridiculous.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6

It really is disgusting that schools are allowed to get away with this nonsense about uniform. I know the argument goes they are representing the school but a tie or a blazer badge is sufficient to do that. How are parents supposed to keep up with it. All that ends up happening (in this area at least) is that young people end up having to wear clothes that are too small because new uniform is unaffordable especially at the end of the school year. Boys especially tend to have huge growth spurts during their teenage years and although I am female my height went fro 4ft11in at the start of secondary school to 5ft 7ins by the time I left at 16.I thought the govenment had said that uniforms should not only be available from one overpriced shop.Perhaps the governors, head teachers or whoever decides on this should also have to buy their clothes from approved outfitters with new ones every 6mths or so.6

Id post a picture but it obviously has the school on so I cant.
The girls have to wear either the girls trousers with logo or skirt with logo too.

Hi WB
That's a lot of logo! I've also now got a mental image of a big logo printed on the rump of all the boys trousers lol. Girls are a bit more expensive at our school because their skirts have a detail on them that is very obvious and mandatory. They are very strict on shoes where we are as well, no trainer type soles etc and no fashion details on the girl's.
Your PE kit seems an excessive expense considering they only have a couple of lessons a week. We were told when DS started that he needed football boots, he's not a footie fan so we had to buy those specially. After about 6 weeks he stopped wearing them and just wandered around the field in a pair of old trainers insteadAnd I don't think the required football socks were even worn tbh.
I reckon I spend about £120 kitting him out in his basic uniform of blazer, shirts, trousers, shoes and a new bag. Then on top of that if he needs new PE kit, maybe another £50 for shorts, shirt, tracksuit bottoms. Then 2 pairs of trainers if he's grown, stationery etc. and we're probably looking at £250 altogether to get him kitted out. It's not a small amount of money by any stretch of the imagination is it.

The shoe policy is very similar tea! I have no idea what I'll get DS to agree to wear from the very select few allowed. I plan on buying the pe kit on the bigger size so it should last longer. Football boots i have no idea again its not something I've ever bought. Its a fortune in reality. I'm trying not to worry but I am the closer it gets.
All 3 need shoes and trainers. They have all grown out of what they have. Which isn't really a problem why we arent going out 😳“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”6
