I'm sorry you're feeling so anxious Wannabe
. The way your GP spoke to you is awful, some of them aren't fit to be in that job. He probably can't cope, but it's a good idea to complain about him as it's not good enough to just dismiss you like that.
If littlest one is home from school and I know that you are fanatical about cleanliness then hopefully she will be fine. Try not to worry so much (although I know it's hard not to). Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Hi WB
Hope you're feeling a little better about things today. Parcel should be with you in a couple of days. Take care of yourself. xx

Well that's a GP with no bedside manner, no need for that tone
All this stock piling is ridiculous. Of course folks hear about the panic buying then go out and panic buy themselves, it's a vicious circle. I for one won't be falling for it.
I hope you feel a bit brighter soon xx

Panic buying is ridiculous. Soap shelves were empty, I wanted a big bag of pasta which I buy regularly and it lasts me ages - I used the last the other day - hardly any pasta in the big MR T at all.....January spends - £587.586

Morning. Thank you. Have got an appointment to see someone else today and hopefully can get sorted before it escalates.
Milann glad I'm not the only one who's found it hard finding things.
SA I wouldn't usually fall for all the hype of worrying about it either but I am worried because I simply can't afford to have to pay more for things that are being stockpiled by others/go up to branded etc. Also I think it's harder when you've no one at all to ask for help should it come to needing to one of us to be in quarantine. I don't have anyone I could ask to grab the odd thing etc. It's all just on me.
I admit if I could I would get some extra in. I wouldn't go to the extremes some seem to have. But just a week or two weeks extra meals etc. So I knew we would be okay if we had to stay in.
I can't help but worry about it. I do wwore about other illness though not just this. This is just more. I can't sleep and there's only so much I can keep busy.
I know it sounds stupid to others. But I can't seem to control by anxiety over it.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”8 -
Morning WB
I don't think you sound stupid. It's a worry for a lot of people, even those who have a support network. Can you push yourself to an extra bag of something each week, pasta, rice, oats, bread mix, tray of meat just so you've got something to fall back on should the worst happen.
In a way I think you're better prepared than most because you manage to provide meals every week on very little so your stocking up wouldn't need to be to the ridiculous excess others seem to be going to. I hope that doesn't come across as condescending. I know it's not a choice but you do manage to do it.
I'm sure the parents of DC's friends would help you out plus the pastoral staff at our school would definitely have been willing to help any family who was struggling.
I don't want to add to your anxiety but this is very real so do you have a plan of action for the DC's if you're ill or need to go into hospital? xx

The news this morning was stressing that the supermarkets are working with the government to make sure people who cannot go to the stores can get food. I am hoping this might mean free deliveries, left at your door, so the poor drivers are not at riskSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

I can't do anything until the 25th. Which seems so far away with how quick things are progressing and changing.
I don't have any plan for the worst happening. Social care will have to provide help I suppose. But everyone I speak to is more focussed on preventing that situation happening. The online shopping deliveries sounds good. But what about me/those who don't have enough to do an online shop? The more budget shops don't deliver either. Or even those who have no access to online? Once my phone data runs out I can't even access online until the end of the month again. I can't be the only one. It's such a rubbish situation all round. For everyone involved. I feel like those who are most vulnerable to it are those who will struggle the most to get supplies and things.
