Hi Wannabe. Hope DD enjoyed her school trip. I don't want to cause offence but I notice you go the Sally Army every so often, would they be able to help you with a few extras for Christmas. I can tell you like to be independent so I hope you're not offended I've mentioned this.

Thank you Beanie. I am going to speak to her medical team on Friday and see what they advise too.

Thank you Teafor2. I don't think we need to take from the SA. The smalls will be more than happy with what they will receive. There is children who will wake up to nothing :o We are grateful for what we do have and I do feel bad for moaning sometimes :o

Smalls home and fed. They had Lasagne because apparently they haven't had it in ages (they have it hasn't been that long :rotfl:)

I have spoken to council tax and lowered the amount of the debt I pay :( I currently pay £50.60 a week which is £25.60 for the current year and £25 of the arrears. Going forward I'm only going to be paying this years £25.60 and £12.50 of the arrears. I suppose I can pay more when I can but at least it cuts a bit of pressure and not worrying I'm going to break the agreement.

  • I think it's a good idea to cancel Virg!n and Prime for now, as well as to lower the council tax payments. It will relieve some of the pressure on you. Do try and get the DLA sorted though. How about your MP as Beanie suggested?

I hope littlest DD enjoyed her school trip :).

For what it's worth I've never read your diary and thought you were moaning. What I do think when I read it is here's a mum who always puts her children first. They're very lucky to have you. In fact, your family unit sounds lovely; you're all lucky to have each other. :)

You are a fantastic mum who has time for her children and makes sure they are happy despite not having much money. And that is worth far more than any expensive present xx

You really must pursue the DLA though.

As your children become adults they wont remember the gifts they didnt get but will always remember the time you spend with them. That is far more precious.

Youngest adored her school trip. She hasn't stopped getting out of bed to come and tell me something else about it. They saw Santa and went on a steam train. Had a picnic (on the train as the weather has been horrid!)

I know it isn't worth getting into more debt for but I am glad she had the experience there isn't many things she can do/keep up with her friends doing. Today she could. She told me how she felt the same (we have had big tears over her being different/needing meds etc) Literally made me heart melt.

Thank you for your lovely comments. I know the smalls will be happy with anything and the books we where given are lovely, I can't wait to see their faces when they see they all have something to fit their own likes rather than share a story that youngest has usually chosen :o We will still spend the day as planned, food we have in and playing board games etc. All that is at no cost and what they will remember more. I think most parents have some guilt or feeling of 'wish I could do XYZ'

Thank you again for the comments as I say I'm not really moaning I know how lucky I am to have what we have and I do appreciate that.

    I can't sleep.

    Outgoings Weekly..

    Rent £125
    Council Tax £25.60
    Council Tax £12.50
Gas/Electricity £25 (this will be a struggle over winter :o)
    Water £11.40
    TV license £5.60
    Mobile Phone Credit £1.25
V1rgin £7.50 (Ends in january gave my 30 days notice today)
    School Snack £3

    Food/Transport/Entertainment & basically Everything else £30

This leaves me with 35p. (£7.85 once v1rgin ends)

I also have the bit on my credit card to pay. The interest is 59.9%

We won't starve or be homeless though. I think I've paid for most of what needs paying at school. I've taken away the idea of spending on Xmas so I think we will be okay.
