    Afternoon :)

Popping on while I have my coffee. Smalls are still painting :rotfl: Didn't expect them to want to do it for so long especially DS who advised me he was 'too old' for some of our activities

Thank you so much for stopping in teafor2. It is hard to stay out of all the expensive things put on for Xmas now. I want to still make memories without all the cost and pressure from others.

Thank you for your lovely comments too PLMBL and Cherry :o

Well it's December. The advents are out and the first day opened. No Elf antics here. Youngest is terrified at the thought of the Elf being 'alive' and moving in the night.

Hope everyone has a lovely day

We don't do the elf either.

    Your lists look great :)

Your list sounds great! Ours has a few of yours and a few different - there are a few houses that are lit up in the village so we will go and look at the lights.

We do the elf, but its all free, cheap and easy things here. Today we had a bath full of balloons wchich the kids have played with all day. Little things!!

Evening (well nearly!) it's dark enough to be evening :rotfl:

Out-laws cancelled. Talk about leaving it late they where supposed to be here at 3.30

Anyway more spending, found a star dress up in a discount store £6. That's the only spending for today though.

Have meal planned and other than juice I think we will manage to make it to next weekend. This week is such a busy week between school and appointments. Then next weekend we have our Pantomime and things.

Chicken curry, rice and flatbreads for dinner this evening. Might pop some corn and watch a christmas movie with the smalls. The new Xmas film on Netf!ix is amazing!

I'm so pleased you're back with the Christmas lists and sounding so much more like you. All the Christmas plans with the smalls sound wonderful. Don't forget to look after yourself amongst all this though xx

  • Your evening sounds great. I’m almost pleased for you that the outlaws cancelled .

We are doing the Elf for the first time this year. DS2 REALLY wanted one and as I think this will be his last year believing, I couldn’t say no. I just bought a cheap one from Asda and he’s chuffed that it has arrived today along with advent calendars :D. Xx

I don't know why youngest is so afraid. The movie just made her even more convinced its scary that the elf comes alive!

So the smalls have wrote their letters to Santa. Youngest wants a train set :o other DD wants something with figures and DS wants a board game or something he can play with. Think the budget of £20 is optimistic

We have done them earlier than normal but it gives me chance to have a look in the charity shops more. Still hoping I find some of the famous pig small figures in there too. Hoping to get some surveys done to cash out amazon vouchers towards it too.

    Morning Wannabe :)

It's refreshing to read the gifts your children have asked for rather than a long list of wants that are usually asked for - and I include my own in this over the years.

Do you have a Wilko near to you? They do a lovely little wooden train set for £6 if that's the sort of thing your DD is thinking of. I bought DS one a few years ago and it was really good value for money. It's basic but not rubbish by any means. We had extra fun making tunnels and bridges out of boxes ourselves.

We've also had endless fun with games like Connect 4 and Kerplunk and we still get them out on occasions. I never bought the real ones though. Our connect 4 came from Wilko and only cost £5 because it was called 4 in a row ;)

Can't offer any help with the figures I'm afraid but I gave some piggy stuff to charity a few years ago so it's probably not an impossible find.

Hope you all have a lovely day.
