Evening all x
Dizzy Huge hugs xxx
Well not much off the flying list but I did manage to get DDs 'big' Christmas pressie online at 6am this morning, bought DS1s birthday gift for his 21St next month too.
Since I've got in I have
Made myself dinner
1x WM and hung on the winterdyke
Just about to do the washing up before DD gets back from dancing and I'll get the packed lunches done too.
Will get properly on with the lists at the weekend when I'll NOT be going out spending on gifts at all! If I even sound like I am someone throw a mule or something at me!I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -

atb I am so with you on Christmas. DH has a big family and they refuse to tone down the present buying, although we set a maximum budget of £10 per adult and £15 per child years ago - but even then that''s £140 for all of them, plus everyone else.
So you end up buying everyone c**p that they really dont want and they buy you similar c**p in return - then you have to find somewhere to put it all. Thankfully my own boys have very low expectations on presents nowadays and they enjoy all the food and drink and partying so it was a lot of fun last year.
Right, paid stuff to do. DH is home painting so like Mratb he is not earning money but is making himself useful!
There are a lot of us; a few years back someone came up with the idea of a Secret Santa. Budget was set at £100 per person, (I argued it down saying we might as well save a bit so now we have a wishlist and get one gift to buy and one bought. I do spend a bit more on the Vallikids though, but its still cheaper.
Dizzy (((hugs)))
had to talk to a parent who seemed to think that we have some jurisdiction over idiot behaviour on the public highway. I was sorely tempted to suggest he gets a life (somebody - not him - was shouted at - he wanted me to find out who had been on the receiving end of the shouting - which was not on our premises. How I was even supposed to do that I dont know and I have pressing stuff to attend to and he is a Governor and should know better) ...I told him to phone the police.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

My mother spends £20 on each of the children.. my 12, 2 partners, 4 grandbeasties, OH and me!.. she then gets everyone around £10 worth of books/sweets/nick-nacks.. She used to spend £50 plus nick-nacks until I said it was way too much.. She still spends around £300 on each of my sisters... aged 30 and 34 which I think is idiotic!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Good evening all.
Yesterday was a bit of a wash out. I ended up leaving work very late so by the time I got home and had my dinner I managed some level 1 flying and then thought sod this and went and had a nice hot bath.
Tuesday - Lovely Living Rooms and Safe Stairs
Level One
Vacuum floors in these areas, even if around clutter
Clear anything from the stairs!
Today has been more of a success. Since my massive decluttering I have been making an effort to make sure that freshly laundered clothing is put away as soon as it is dry which makes cleaning my bedroom much easier.
I do love climbing into a freshly made bed. Even better is a freshly made bed with ironed bedding but I am rubbish at ironing. No matter how many videos I watch on YouTube I still haven't mastered folding a fitted sheet. Practice makes perfect I guess.
Wednesday - Master Bedrooms and Landings
Level One
Remove floordrobe, make sure all clothes are put away neatly
Level Two
Strip bed linen and wash, replace with clean linen
Vacuum floors in these areas

Regarding Christmas, I haven't even started yet. I only buy presents for my parents, my niece and nephew, one friend and then something for a teenager off Instant Neighbour's Giving Tree.
It's that I'm a Scrooge, I do enjoy Christmas or rather Yuletide but there is genuinely nothing I need or want. I don't want to waste money buying someone something they don't need or really want just so that they can buy me something I don't need or really want. Well there are things I would like but I think asking someone for an Aston Martin is a bit much.0 -
LoL.. if I can ask for a toilet and a floor I am sure you can ask for an Aston Martin!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
