OK first things first - healing vibes for poorly chooks on the way to Dizzy-land.

Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Ionafan.

Ha ha, same here! :D And if I pledge to do something by a given date, you can bet your boots Loki will raise his nasty conniving head and prevent it from happening. :D

The pc is ready for its trip to pc hospital tomorrow. Mr LW looked quite lost for a while after we'd boxed it up - but he's now settled to driving me nuts with Mario Kart 8 on the WiiU.

I have taken the opportunity to give the carpet where the pc processor usually stands a good clean.

Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs Ionafan!

I have read the thread back but apologies if I have missed hugs where hugs are needed.

I'm back in the game. Today was a full day at job 1, as a swap for yesterday at FiL's funeral. It has thrown me now, as I am convinced that it is only Monday evening, not Tuesday :o. Still, I have got the WM running so all is right with the world.

Yesterday was a long day, and we were all a bit emotionally wrung by the evening. But there were good bits too, so not all sad. I met up with someone who, thankfully after having introduced himself by name, I hadn't seen since our wedding. I did point out that was - ahem- a mere 25 years ago! But his wedding present was still in use - no lie!

This evening's task is to get the bag ready for tomorrow's CS drop off. It's only a small bag this week so far, but better than nothing. Before then, I have to make a paper reindeer bauble....with a pom pom nose...don't ask :rotfl:
  • Well, he managed to make it to the pick up point, despite my having to text him Very Clearly Worded Directions (ring the bell for the bus to stop when you see the duck pond and church, the stop is named after the church - not the one two stops lower on the hill that's named after a different church - get off at the bus stop named after the church, walk towards the duck pond, follow the path alongside the duck pond towards the church, cross the next road so you are standing in front of the church, stand facing the church, turn right from where you are standing facing the church and keep going, stay on that side when the road splits off....).

Sounds like he's enjoying himself - sent a photo of the cathedral the first gig is at - and he had to decorate some huge Christmas trees as part of the staging. This is a person who doesn't want a Christmas Tree because we will have an Idiot Cat hurling himself up it before the 3rd bauble has gone on. And he has to decorate 44 of the things by Christmas. :rotfl:

I caught the bus outside work and did some shopping in middleclass food heaven rather than come home and then have to go back out; I think these count as healthy/eating properly for the majority of the week?

    1. chilli squid and a bag of salad
    2. big box of sushi - already scarfed down, as he forgot to mention that he hadn't made a packed lunch for me today and didn't make any toast this morning because he was running around like a chook minus its head. I was staaaarrrrving.
    3. turkey breast chunks
    4. goats' cheese
    5. cooked beetroot
    6. two bags of assorted leaves
    7. tomatoes
    8. cucumber
    9. radishes
    10. frozen berries
    11. sheep's milk yoghurt

Just finishing a cuppa before attacking the foetid gloop that he has allowed to block the sink. Ugh.

Just got to keep reminding myself that

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. And gives you a cleaner kitchen, socks in the drawer when you need them and the ability to sit with just one lamp and the radio on
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    Happy Anniversary Iona_party_

My day has gone like this....
    Woke up
    Washed dressed
    Dinner flung in SC
    Tidied up
    Washed up
    Lunches put in bags
    DD woke for school
    Went to work
Left work got stuck in a traffic jam
Managed to make it home for 5pm just!
Meeting with lady from the council
    Dinner dished out
    Washed up
    1x WM
    Showered and into my jammies.

Just about to make the packed lunches for tomorrow and hang the washing on the winterdyke. I'll maybe do half an hour of TV if I can keep my eyes open long enough!

Valli... package arrived... thank you.. I shall finish this scarf and put it to good use.

    Good - and quick...

I am 'putting away' - now I have more time in the evening because I don't have to go to the aged p's for a shower.

WM and TD x 1 this morning, too.

Me "It doesn't appear so now"

Chris "We will have to arrange a day when you're back from holiday"

Thanks everyone. Today has been a good day. SW this morning, after taking Rosie for a short walk, and after putting on 3.5 lb last week I had lost 4lb this week!

Remedied that when DH took me out to lunch at a local pub/restaurant for main course, then we went to our nearest plant nursery (it's not really a garden centre because it's family run and doesn't sell all the junk like kitchen equipment, clothing and toys you get at GCs nowadays - in fact I don't think they sell many gardening tools either, but their plants are excellent). They have however just opened a new tearoom, so we went there for dessert and each had a more than half-decent mug of cappuccino and shared a piece of nom-nom red velvet cake for less than the price of most GCs, in an enormous, light and airy room with beautiful home-made tables and comfy chairs. We shall be going back there soon - maybe next week, even!

Rosie still got her long walk this afternoon and had fun chasing squirrels in the wood and a spaniel on the field. I had college this evening and DH went to his model railway club.

But I have flown - I have done 3 loads of washing today :D

Jojo, your shopping list sounds disgustingly healthy!

    Didn't even start today's list!!!!

Dropped DS at school then straight into town to pick up DD's xmas present and go to CEX to trade in some figures for the kids

Made sister a lovely birthday lunch

Loaded car up (jam packed) and dropped yesterday's decluttering to charity shop

Then off to pets at home for flashing dog collar

Fainted in car on way home (OH driving) gave him a fright - think it was all the rushing around plus had medication increase and have been feeling very light headed and giddy - will monitor for next couple of days and get onto hospital if necessary

Couple of bargain xmas presents bought online - finally getting somewhere - picked up paint for dining room today

out shopping today (weds) with mum and sister but can't flippin sleep - gonna be shatteredd

Well, yesterday went to rat poo.

Not sure I got anything done on the list except change my bed covers.

Spent most of the day dashing about collecting things, delivering things, shopping for food and the like, then had the doctors to chat about why I'm so tired. She thinks it could be anaemia, an underactive thyroid or adrenal fatigue, so have blood tests organised for next week to start the process of identifying what's wrong. OMG - I hate needles...

I have to go into DH's work today to do some computer work for him, so not planning on much before that.

We have the automatic gates going in today :j

Hugs to all you lovelies xxx
