Ouch!, Pigpen, to you and to little Fabian. Low dentist threshold here, so I am always grateful when I get sent away with no treatment.
Good to hear you back on form Dizzy, after all the recent rubbish stuff. X
I've made a special effort this morning to get going, as Saturday mornings are often wasted, waiting for the others to decide what they are up to. So far, WM x 2 in the go, ironing pile about to be blitzed, beef casserole cooking in the slow cooker. The sun is shining but it is freezing out there, but so much easier to get motivated.
I have got some boxes from work for DH to start moving some of his [STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE] treasures into. I may be able to see the hall floor sometime this weekend if they make it to the loft. And some of the other treasures come down to leave the house.
Off to climb the ironing mountain. Have a lovely Saturday everyone.0 -
Morning all
Hugs to all that need them
Cold one this morning so wrap up if you go out and be careful it's a bit slippy in places.
Thank you for the revised list natty
Hope the op goes well for little Fabian and he isn't in too much pain or discomfort
Shoppping done, fabric bought (cheap sheeting from CS) need to make three Egyptian robes by Thursday for the school play.
Not sure where my felt is so I also need to look for that to make stockings but don't need that till end of term. Got a little ironing to do but will get it done tomorrow.
Have a good weekend all. XSPC~12 ot 124

swimming done.. repaired glasses collected and other pair left for scratched lenses changing.. again.. OH finishing work at 4pm... I really need him here so I can go hide for half an hour before I commit murder.. or cry through sheer frustration.. walking Dot anywhere is torture, she runs off, gets in the way, and drives me crazy.

Hope Fabian is OK.
WMx3 done.
2 walks with Rosie done.
A bit more research for my assignment done.
DH came home from the NEC at 4.00 pm absolutely exhausted. We went out at 5.35 (should have been 5.15 but he had been asleep and then could barely move and took ages to change into his decent clothes) to the SW charity ball. Usually the motorway is jammed, but this evening by some miracle it was free running, so we actually got to the venue only a couple of minutes late, although we had to park some distance away. Got to our table and DH stood and literally groaned for 2 minutes before sitting down. He did pay for 3 raffle tickets, though. (I had paid for the entrance tickets some time ago). Extra bar staff had not been provided, despite assurances to the organisers, so the queue for drinks was horrendous. Awards were given out (not to us), food eaten (it wasn't bad, though not SW friendly!), and raffles drawn: I won a box of posh bath toiletries and a voucher for a facialDisco began and DH decided he'd had enough of it all, so we came home and saved ourselves the £5 parking fee if over 3 hours! :money:
DH made me a :coffee: and then went straight to bed. I have done another hour's work on my essay and folded the washing
Silly man - I had told him weeks ago to keep the day free  I am just glad that I didn't bother to buy a new dress for the occasion, because , if I had, I would have been :mad::mad:0 -
Bathrooms cleaned (quick wipeover and some stuff in the loo)
Kitchen still perfectly clean
Bed linen changed
Linen bin emptied in preparation for washloads, delayed by the entertainment value of the Idiot Cat finding out that his sleeping spot of the heap inside the linen bin isn't there anymore - and then deciding he'd get in anyway - result being a wicker tunnel tipping an Idiot animal down the stairs.
Need to vacuum, muck out the beasties' tray and do my washing for the week.
Himself finally made it home this afternoon, just as I was in the bath with my eyes closed and ears under the water (yes, I know it's weird, but I like doing that whilst washing my hair - using horse shampoo means it rinses out properly with just a few swishes and I don't have to bother with trusting the blasted shower with the dodgy water pressure), so didn't hear him come in. Thankfully, rather than giving me the fright of my life, he switched the light on and off to let me know he was standing in the doorway.
Had Chinese takeaway and he fell asleep in front of the telly with both cats draped over him, before going to bed at ten. Sounds like he's really enjoying touring, though - I knew it would be good for him to actually get up and do something and it's nice seeing him look more how he used to again - relaxed and happy in himself.
He's going out first thing into town to get some more clothes for the rest of the tour, plus supplies (pots of instant porridge, largely) for touring breakfasts and a full roast dinner. Which is nice - as long as he understands that he will be cleaning up the mess he managed to make in the kitchen from the takeaway and the mess after cooking dinner; honestly, here for less than 12 hours, 7 of which have been spent asleep, and the kitchen is a mess. How does he manage this?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Oooft image being up at this time on a Sunday!

Suppose I better get started!I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Laundry shuffled.. I have just about caught up.. until everyone brings me their mountains down when they surface.. *cry*
I'm going to bite the bullet and DEMAND OH puts his comics in the loft.. I want my landing back so I can put the girls clothes away and get the stuff wrapped in DD2's room.. I am sick of living in a mess, I think this is contributing to my overall distress and anxiety.
Looks like we are in for another challenging day, OH is away to work at 10am so I might do a cooked meal at lunch and a sandwich/beans'n'toast for dinner.. then I can get the beasts to bed early.
Just going to try Squeak in her new car seat.. it looks massivle bigger than her current one which she doesn't fit in so hopefully it will do her until she is 150cm and the normal seat belt works properly (They aren't fully safe until around 150cm according to most research which is why that is the upper height limit on the continent and countries where they give a toss about child safety)LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Urgh. Feel rough. Again.
It would appear that the lurgy that has been lurking in the background these past few weeks since half term, has now mutated into a new and improved strain. More yucky, sticky and nose blocking than before. I fear it may try to attain sentience.
Both my boys got up in the night so I'm super tired. Plasterer didn't come over yesterday as his wife needed their car and he was babysitting their newborn, so he said he'd be here for 9.30am...best get a move on then!
Got to plant 100+ tree whips this week and, to try to thwart my plans, it has been raining hard enough to make my heavy soil almost impossible to dig. *sigh
Off I trot...0 -
Washing machine is on, winterdyke has been emptied and put past, pile of ironing to be done now on table to give me motivation
Can't seem to get going at all today!
Piggers my aunties aren't even 150 cm I was thinking I may buy them car seats for Christmas :rotfl:I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0
