Thanks ladies, so much, for your kindness.
This morning was much better. Yes Iona he goes to Pre-school now, he loves it there and is apparently good as gold for them! So that's something at least.
Piggers I agree with you about hormones. Some days I feel able to cope with everything and bad behaviour is dealt with and I move on, others I take it so personally and get so upset, like yesterday. Here's hoping for a better day today, so far so good. Thanks for being my friend.
It's sunny here, washing is on the line but it's chilly so won't really dry it I don't think. Day out planned tomorrow which I'm looking forward to. Thanks again ladies bavs lovely afternoons all xxMFW

ATB no advice, as I do dogs, not children; but loads of posivibes coming your way.;)
We survived Mr LW's visit to the consultant; I managed the drive home and back out to collect him (though I got him to drive us home as it was school turfing-out time and there was too much traffic for my nerves to cope with by then).
Anyways, he's got to wait for a letter from the horse-piddle with a date to go for a beathing test, a scan of his heart, and another test which, bless him, he can't remember what it is.Once these are done, he has to call the secretary and make another appointment with the consultant.
So I'll be doing a few more stints of bringing the car home and collecting him afterwards; it'll be cheaper than paying the extortionate parking fees at the horse-piddle.
Been out to collect the meds that S/Drug didn't have in stock for me on Tuesday; and done a Morries shop (is there some sort of world shortage of custard powder, btw? Neither Morries nor T£sco has any!)
The latest edition of Paws For Thought (the magazine of the Mensa DogSIG) arrived in my inbox yesterday, so I need to get on and write my next article for them; really should try and do that this afternoon.
Suzie goes home later today, and our next guest, Daisy, doesn't arrive til Monday, so hopefully some meaningful Flying will take place over the weekend. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
aargh
just spent AAGES peering at an amazon gift card redeem code...entered every possible combination then some to find, eventually, that it needed to be entered in lower case - despite the fact it was printed in BLOCK CAPITALS!

Evening all
Work all done for the week :j:j just as well really as DGS2 was admitted to hospital yesterday. He has a viral infection that has caused bronchitis. Wee souls oxygen levels were really low and his throat was so sore he couldn't take his bottle so the had to numb his throat first. I'm thinking I'll probably have DGS1 at some point this weekend so I did the food shop on the way home and picked up DGS2's Christmas gift from the jewelers. Came in to find DD and 2 of her pals sound asleep in her bed and one big mess in the scullery which I've now cleared up.
Have a friend coming round for lunch tomorrow so I'll get up early and crack on with the lists.sell to the gypsies

my eldest was a nightmare, an angel at nursery though. I'm convinced that he tried so hard to get everything right when he was at school that he'd just let everything pour out when he got home. Hope things improve for you soon xI'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Well, my day has been better than expected in some respects:
- I now feel much better than I did yesterday
- I did all the cleaning and tidying
- WMx1 has been deferred until tomorrow, when it will become WMx2 (light and dark separate)
- Rosie has been for a run in the woods twice today; the second time she played with her great friend Sasha (a Hungarian vizsla). I drove my car to very near the entrance to the wood, so I didn't have to walk far
- I managed to get into town this afternoon to buy our food, dog food and go to the BS
- Also got 20% off Christmas jumpers for DH :rudolf: and me :xmastree: - I've been keeping an eye out for some nice ones, and these were much cheaper than any others I'd seen, even before the discount :money:
Unfortunately I didn't really get going until midday: sat down on the sofa after breakfast, feeling very tired again, and next thing I knew it was 11:50
DH has just arrived home so I must go and cook...0 -
Evening everyone, sorry to have been awol. Again .
FFP - I hope your DGS is ok.
Well done LW :T .
ATB-you are a fab mum. I can't offer anywhere near the advice that Pigpen can, and she has the best advice. Hang on in there, we're all with you. X
Big thank you to Valli and Natty for organising the flylady festivities :xmassmilex
Nothing to report here apart from the dailies. Tomorrow is another day. Good night all x0 -
Hi all
atb its a long time since mine were that little but DS1 was a challenge! He was king of the temper tantrum and so full on. Cant believe it now, he is so calm and gentle! Dont be too hard on yourself, sometimes when they are that age they are going to behave badly no matter what you do.
Full on week. Busy morning at the paid stuff then hospital check up with DS1. He has lost a bit of weight so they want to do a few more checks.
Will catch up properly tomorrow.0 -
Morning ladies - I'm sorry I've been AWOL. It's just taken me ages to catch up on all the news...thanks for your words of support. I'm bouncing back into the game now x
Belated anniversary wishes to Ionafan!
ATB - you have all my sympathies. I too, have a challenging child. Also a second child. One who strips naked if he stands still for more than 5 minutes. A free spirit and enormously willful creature, who has his own opinion on everything, knows how to negotiate or blackmail as required and insists on going to preschool dressed as Godzilla. Some days I'd like to peg him out on the washing line or lock him in the dog crate (actually no, I know he'd enjoy that) and then just at the point of no return, he will fling open his arms, give me a big, snotty kiss and tell me he loves me. All is then forgiven. I do [STRIKE]sometimes[/STRIKE] usually still need a G&T when he's gone to bed...
Electric gate man was a no show all week but I do have a new staircase in and useable, a fully finished stone floor and a hole cut for the cooker extractor fan ducting. I feel blessed...
I did, also, clear out my dressing table, sorting through all the gibble and general carp that has accumulated there and it looks fab.
Did I mention the toilet blocked and overflowed mid-week?
Football with Small, chicken corn shopping with Tiny and meeting with new plasterer this morning. Cuppa already drunk so I now need to move my derriere.
Spoons, hugs and sticks are in a bucket by the door (I crammed lots in) - help yourselves xxx0 -
I've been so busy this week but I have managed to keep on top of my flying. I managed to get the bathroom cleaned on Thursday evening and cleaned out the little furry's cage.
Thrilling Thursday - Study/PC area and Bathrooms
Level One
Clean floors in these rooms
Level Two
Clean baths, toilets and sinks
Level Three
Wash your bathroom mats
My pc area is in the spare room which is my Room of Doom. I didn't manage any of this yesterday because a friend was coming round to help me fit a large mirror to my living room wall. I had previously attempted it myself but ended up hanging the mirror a bit squint despite all my measuring.it turns out there is a slight bow in the wall and the ceiling has a slope in it making my attempt look more squint than it actually was but I got there in the end and I am pleased with the result.
I know every room comes back round again but today I am going to tackle the Room of Doom aka the spare room. I'm going in....I may be some time.0 -
Well jolly times in here.. OH very helpfully put the winter duvet on the bed.. now I can't sleep because it is too heavy on my geriatric hip.. coupled with the fact I need a new mattress I can't afford an the baby is having a phase of sleep regression .. I am shattered and in pain.. and I have to walk the girls to swimming again today and I can't get any clothes on. This is going to be a fun day!
Laundry catchup needs to be played
DW catchup is also needed
Fabian is in hospital this morning having 8 teeth removed.. he had an accident when he was tiny and smashed his front teeth and damaged others.. the dentist is concerned the dead damaged teeth will damage his adult teeth so they are being removed now he is 5 and his adult teeth shouldn't be too far away.. He already has had 3 fall out naturally so he is going to look a bit gummy for a while!! Hopefully his adult teeth will be better and much stronger than his baby teeth have been.
This weekend I aim to clear the last bits I want to keep from the girls room to go in proper storage crates in the loft and OH's comics need to go up there too.
I need to put the girls clothes away.. I need to sort through them too but I don't have time for that just yet.
During next week I plan to wrap.. OH is at work 3:5 evenings so I can get plenty done in that time and I may even boss DS3 to come paper cut for me.
Next weekend is likely to consist of card writing with the girls.. I despise that task!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
