Sorry, I've been missing for a few days. I'd like to say it was because I was too busy. Honesty forces me to admit that I've been sunk in lethargy.

Anyway, I'm back and today have done a pile of ironing, washed the floors down stairs and written a letter. I think that will do for today.

Today I want to give my bedroom a good sort out. I don't know who gets in here to mess it all up, as far as I am aware I live here alone. Apart from the dog, but she has denied all knowledge of any messing up activities.
You remember the fairy tale about the gnomes who visited a house while the inhabitants were asleep and did all the housework? Well I have a small army of private detectives out searching for these gnomes. No luck so far, but here's hoping. Instead I seem to have a posse of goblins who get in while I'm asleep and create chaos.

So....in the absence of the cleaning gnomes and the reluctance of the American Boxer to get her paws dirty, it seems to be down to me.

    My bedroom.....to be cleaned.

    Shopping... to be endured.

a few Christmas cards....to be written.

    knitting.........to be plain and purled.

  • I've not been very good this past week. I've been a bit overwhelmed with life and have done some serious procrastinating. Hopefully back on it today.

So finish off kitchen and bathroom and clean floors.
    Make something for tea.
Pick up greenhouse glass that was blown out the other night with the wind.

  • monnagran - so that is what happened to the ‘bedroom berserker’ :rotfl: he moved into your place :rotfl: At least you don’t have the ‘dining room disrupter’or the ‘bathroom bandit’ :rotfl:

Graciefields, you do know that procrastination can be serendipitous :rotfl:

FRIDAY’s LIST almost completely ignored :rotfl:

DH to finish working on his motorbike
    DH to mend my wardrobe
DH to put up picture in bedroom
DH to put up blind in his office

Make chicken & chorizo casserole for the weekend - STARTED - FINISHED Friday

What we did do Today - DH did a bit of gardening & a bit more office & garage tidying.
I made a pot of vegetable soup which is delicious 😋 but the pumpkin soup is bland even with extra paprika & some pepper added :( - will have to figure out what else to add to give it some oomph :)
I have also started knitting the 3rd Square of the baby blanket.

Saturday’s & Sunday’s lists are blank :rotfl: - I will report on what is done :rotfl: & go back to proper lists starting on Monday :D

The hm spicy vegetable soup from the freezer was delish 😋

Mrs SD, when I have a bland soup I usually lob in a glug of pesto or, more often, mint sauce but I'm not sure they would go with pumpkin. Sorry, apart from spices you've got me there.

Well, I did tidy up part of the bedroom which now looks much better. Unfortunately the part that wasn't tidied looks much worse because it now contains all the stuff ejected from the tidy bit.

You just can't win, can you?

Saturday now so I will make a massive effort to finish the bedroom.
And write the letter I've been putting off for a week.

That will be quite enough. It's the weekend after all.

Mrs SD, try some harissa...It's fairly easy to make your own too, I used to, it's quite nice in a soup, I used to chuck it in the celeriac soup a lot.
