  • Good morning everyone
    tasks for today:
visit to local shop to pick up a couple of things for a friend who can't go by herself.
    drop off items to friend.
fill up with petrol while I am out.
Look around for any mess made by high winds last night and tidy up and try to "batten down the hatches".
put two loads of washing through the machine.
visit garden centre to buy vouchers for gifts. Also to buy bulbs for gifts. (great gift for eldery friends and you can plant them in a container where they can see them each day. :) Or you can give them to friends who like the garden. They can enjoy them throughout the year)
    Defrost meat for tomorrows meal.
    Other tasks for weekend:
Make a meal plan for the week.
    Do an online shop.
Continue reading book. Unfortunately I haven't read much this week.
    Tidy sewing baskets.
  • Shopping for friend completed and delivered.
    Petrol tank full.
    Tidied bits and bobs outside.
Washing on airers drying. (too wild to dry outside)
Meat out of freezer and defrosting.
    Tidied sewing baskets.
    Shopping list written.

    Carried over until tomorrow:
Visit garden centre to buy bulbs.
    Order shopping online.
    Make meal plan.
    Read two chapters of book.

I hope everyone has a productive week.

Life more than slightly chaotic here. Not only is motivation lacking, time and energy are also in short supply.

It won't do so today I will

    Wash the downstairs floors.

    Vacuum my bedroom and landing.

Make my weekly harassing phone call to the solicitor to hear their latest excuse for not being ready for exchange of contracts. Always good for a laugh, that one.

Brave the sight of my 'packing' room wherein my dog has gained entry and torn open every bag she could find and strewn the contents all over the floor. Ive been putting sorting that off for long enough.

OL, had to laugh at the regret of lack of ice when de-pooping the garden. Know exactly what you mean!

Did everything yesterday except sort out the packing room.

If that's all I do today it will be enough.

  • yep, the idea of this thread is amazing. When I see soo many people doing todo lists. To be honest it was a milestone for my productivity. Usually, I make todo list every Sunday evening, for next week. I put a maximum of 10 of the most important tasks. I don't use a specific app or something, just a piece of paper and pen. It gives me a lot of satisfaction to scratch off already done tasks.

For shopping lists I use LIstonic - a huge time and money saver

Thank you LucyLis, I had forgotten about this thread and it could have been very useful in the last few months.
When I last posted I was waiting for an exchange of contracts that was eventually to happen at the end of January with a moving date of Feb 7th. 10 minutes before exchange my buyers buyer pulled out and the chain collapsed. It was re-instated immediately and we picked ourselves up, kept calm and carried on.
A couple of weeks ago the owner of the bungalow I had been buying since last September decided that he wasn't going to sell after all.
I have found another one but look like being homeless between moving out of my house and completing on the bungalow. Friends have offered to put me up, but life is chaotic.

I may come back here and try to get a bit more organised, so............

Today I have delivered 30 knitted chicks to the Hospice Shop.
I have been to the Estate Agent with proof that I am who I think I am.
Been out to lunch with a friend and am now sitting here with a coffee thinking about all I have to do.
But not today. My head has to be sorted first.

Fine. Right. On with the dance.

Have already had to scrap some of today's plans as I have to visit the EA to sign yet another form. Fortunately they have a branch in the village so it just means an hour or so walk. And it's a nice day.

When I get back it will be lunch and a good tidy up through the upstairs. Can't be more specific than that.
