Mrs SD. What do you mean 'Silvo'? Pure gold, dahling, pure gold.

Did most of yesterday's list. No Christmas Stockings sewn up, I'll have another go at them today.

Had planned a trip on the Tesco bus today - we get 2 a week from our village - but several things have cropped up. My old dog is having an off day and I don't like to leave her, and Hermes sent me an e-mail last night that they had delivered my parcel securely in my porch. I don't have a porch and 16 kilos of dog biscuits is floating around the ether somewhere.

    So today.....

    Lock horns with Hermes.

    Lots of cuddles with dog.

    Write another 5 cards.

    Sew up 3 Christmas Stockings.

    Keep warm.

  • I'm so happy when I read that you write lists for your day to get motivated. I told too my boyfriend that I'm home all day and the most of the day I lying in my beda and don't have motivation for anything. And he made me to do list and it really works for me because I know that I have things to do I somebody and it really motivates me.

Welcome Iva. We all find that lists are the way to go. It gives us something to aim for even if we get distracted from time tot time,

I'm feeling very smug tonight as I managed my whole list and THAT doesn't happen very often.

Dog has come round enough to eat yesterday's dinner and today's dinner as well.

Dog food discovered outside back door with large tear in it and had spilt all over the ground. It rained last night! Think Hermes had just dumped it somewhere and kindly neighbour dragged it to the back door.

    Halo shining most satisfactorily.

That's OK Mrs SD, shuffling off jobs to someone else is almost as labour saving as procrastination.

Speaking of which, it's about time the fronts of those kitchen cupboards were cleaned.

    Just sayin'.

  • Good morning all

Well, yesterday was a complete washout didn't manage to do anything from the list. Procrastination certainly set it. Although I did manage to get my overdue haircut done and managed to get loads of extra stuff in the grey bin for collection this morning. Also sneaked some stuff into my dear neighbours almost empty grey bin which saved me a trip to the tip.

    I will repost yesterday's list.

    Clean bathroom
    make bread
sort something for tea using what I have left in freezer and cupboards.
Sort out golf bag for winter
    Mop kitchen floor.
    Set up new kindle Fire.

    Have a great day everyone

  • Well, I have to admit to almost deciding NOT to post for a while :rotfl::o:rotfl: as at 9:30 p.m. the kitchen cupboard fronts still hadn’t been cleaned :o:rotfl: BUT I reread monnagran’s post & decided to just get on with it :rotfl:

OL - a comprehensive list of dailies  Hope you were successful :D

Graciefields, nothing wrong with replacing a list with more important tasks  The shaggy dog look is not a good one :rotfl:

Thursday has been a dry day but overcast & cold.
DH has been given the all clear on his eye :T:T Treated himself to a fried breakfast :rotfl: DH also moved the TV cabinet - tomorrow we will transfer TV etc from the coffee table. He also spent some time working on the motorbike - he is adding fog lights :D My DH is a ‘365 days of the year’ biker :rotfl: none of that namby pamby ‘summer only’ biking :rotfl:

I have been quite busy today - cleaned oven doors inside & out, sorted storage above fridge freezer (found a couple of items for cs), did an initial sort out of a box file leading to some shredding & recycling, walked to sm, past the dock & fed the mute swans, coots, mallards & the ubiquitous seagulls :D I also picked up 84 pieces of litter. Posted a letter (MrA has a P.O. Box in store :T) Shopped & got bus back. Everything packed away, wrapped 2 XMas pressies, made dinner which was all from freezer/food stores & fed the fox :rotfl: Then I washed, rinsed & dried all the kitchen Cupboard fronts, kickboards, skirting boards & used specialist wipes to clean all the stainless steel in the kitchen :D

DH has a final hospital appointment (re his detached retina ) - DONE & GIVEN THE ALL CLEAR
Set up TV, SKY box & DVD/VHS on/in new cabinet
DH to mend my wardrobe :rotfl:

    Wash kitchen floor

OMG, Mrs SD and OL, you put me to shame. There mere idea of fitting all that into one day sends me straight back to bed.

Could you spare some of your OCD please OL? I think that is what is missing in my life. "Good enough is good enough," is my mantra and the house bears witness to that.

Anyway, back to today. The house is cleanish and tidyish, well apart from my bedroom and we'll draw a veil over that, so today I will concentrate on getting a few things finished off.

Sew all the ends in on the Christmas Stockings.

Write at least 10 more cards.

Hand wash some underwear and drape over radiators. (can't wait to move and get another washing machine.)

Make a batch of biscuits - the tin is empty.

And anything else will be a bonus.

P.S.. Glad the kitchen cupboard fronts are gleaming Mrs SD. "Your living has not been in vain." My mum used to sing that song.
