Today is cold and until DS2 arrives to sort out my boiler I have no heating, so a morning cooking sounds attractive and warm.

    So to make

    1 loaf
Cauliflower cheese for portioning up for the freezer.
Chicken pie to use up some defrosted cooked chicken
Mince pies for freezer, getting ahead for Christmas Day in the workhouse.
    Biscuits for tin.

    If time

    Leek and potato soup
    Cheese scones.

That looks a tad ambitious. Maybe I'll get one or two of those done.

  • Good morning all. It's very cold and windy up here in Lancashire.
Didn't do too badly yesterday. Got a few things ticked off my list and a few that weren't on my list. Took the dog to the vet for what I hoped would be to sign him off. Unfortunately, he has to wear the cone another week and can only do 2 x 5-minute lead walks. He is just so fed up but this is my fault for not persevering with the cone in the first place and consequently, he licked his wound without me realising.

    So here is yesterdays list
    Clear dining room. Done
    Clean my bedroom
Make something for tea Done Egg, hm chips and beans.
Clear, clothes and shoes for a charity bag.
Have a no spend day Done
do a load of washing Done
Plus need to take dog to vets hopefully for the last time and get the all clear. Done
Also made space in plastic container drawer. Got rid of loads.

    Todays list.

    Clean bathroom
    Sort dogs cupboard out
Get breadmaker out of garage/make bread
    Sort something for tea

    Have a great day all.

Mrs SD, I'll lay another place!

The chicken pie and cauli cheese was scrumptious and there is enough for another 2 days.

The biscuits and mincepies will do another day.

Today looks to be cold and windy. I have some tidying up to do in the garden but that can wait.
    It's an indoor day today.

Wash floors downstairs - more playtime with my new mop.
Get Christmas cards organised and write the first 5.
Sew up at least 3 Christmas Stockings.
Phone a friend who has been ill.

If I manage that lot I will polish my halo. Where did I put that Brasso?
