Hi GR. Looks like your new years resolution has started well and truly early and kicked off with a vengeance. Good luck, you seem to be doing well. All the best. Kim0

Thanks K1mmie, It has started off well, lets hope I can keep the momentum up and continue throughout the year. I've cut up all the credit cards and closed the accounts so I've removed temptation from myself. This year I'm aiming to be a saver not a spender!0

Oh it's so nice to hear some good news. A spare £100 is brilliant at this time of year.
Our Christmas was fairly quiet, will make up for it on New Years Eve.
Went to a vegan meeting today in town and my car park fee was £14!!!!!!!!
Had a lovely time though so worth it...I just can't stop thinking what I could have done with that £14. Which is probably a good thing as at one time I wouldn't have given it a second thought so somethings seeping in
I like the idea of saver not a spender. I'm with you there, I'm definately going to throw more at my debts but save a little too.

Hi Dizzy, Glad you had a good Christmas and hope the New Year is going to be hectic as you want it to be. £14 car parking, what a rip-off. Saying that if you enjoyed yourself it's a fairly cheap day out. I went out last night and spent all of 75p on a cola. The rest of my drinks were paid for.
Your debts will come down nicely, I bet its a great relief with the loan paid off. Once we're into the New Year our determination will be at its peak and I know you can get motivated to clear what you have left.
If I don't speak to you before I hope you have a fab New Year.

Thanks GR and you and yours have a brilliant New Year too
We'll have bags of renewed enthusiasm Jan 2008. Hey great night out for 75p. I bet you really enjoyed it too than if you'd spent a fortune. That's certainly an mse night out

OK so it's the first of January tomorrow and my aim for the first month in 2008 is to save £200 and send my NS&I book away to have the interst added to it. Not had interest added since May 2005 so I'm hoping there'll be a couple of quid to be had there.0

Happy New Year everybody and welcome to 2008. This month I've decided to put every penny of spare cash into my ISA. Have already transferred £15 which was spare into the account this morning and just waiting for the £19 from Quidco to hit my account so that can also be transferred. The balance at the moment is a very disappointing £5.83 and I'm aiming to get it up to £200 by the end of January. Going to amend my signature now so that I've got to admit to you all how I do.0

Can you believe it, checked my online balance this morning and the bank has paid me for having money in my account, it's only 0.01p but hey this has never happened to me before. It makes a change them paying me. Had a pretty good money day today. Not spent too much and kept within my daily budget. Don't know how long this is going to last, children back at school next week and that'll be a testing time!!!!
I should also come in under budget tomorrow as well as when I went to buy my daily cola it was BOGOF so tomorrows drink didn't cost me anything.0 -
Another good money day today, that's 3 days on the run. January is usually a month where money is scarce after Christmas but this year is different. For the first time ever there's been enough money in the bank on the first of January to cover the direct debits.0
