Hi GR How are you...
just popping in to say hello. I'll update my diary.
Sorry to hear about DD, it must be a worrying time but kids are strong little things aren't they.
Hope you're feeling better hun.
Catch you soon

Morning all. AM up bright and early and ready for the day ahead. Have sold another parcel on Amazon and have packed that up ready to post today.
DD still home from school today not feeling well. I'm embarrassed about the amount of school she's missed this year. She had 3 months off after her arm and now another 2 days. At least it was the school that sent her home yesterday so they know that she's genuinely ill. I've always made the kids go to school no matter what.
Wonder if the Halifax cheque will make its way to me today?????0 -
Uuuurrrrrgggghhhhh no Halifax cheque again..... I'm getting a bit p'd off now, they don't half drag their feet.
Had a £12 cheque from work today for some expenses so that can go back into my account. Have also had my tax credit annual renewal form so hopefully that'll be good news and I'll see a slight increase there.0 -
Good morning GR
You've got a few things to look forward to in the post, hope you hear from the Halifax soon.
Hope DD is feeling better. She seems to be having a hard time at the moment doesn't she, bless her.
Hope things are okay with you on the 'emotional front' Has your boyfriend heard anything about his house yet?
Like you I can't wait for the warmer days, everything seems so much better when the sun is shining.
Not won anything on the lottery, hope you had better luck.
Have a great day hun

No luck for me on the lottery either. Don't know what I'd do if I won. Have 4 numbers once and slept with my ticket until I could cash it in. Won £44!!!!!
Boyfriend has sold his house subject to contract and it's taking ages. Still not asked THE question though. Ex boyfriend is still on the scene although I think he's finally got the message as he's not calling round so much. He speaks to me on the phone a couple of times a week but thats about it.
Schools on strinke here today so both kids home with my mum. Had a lie in this morning, didn't get up until 8
Got to call to the post office this morning to post off another Amazon sale, not a huge amount made, after postage probably about 80p but its still more than I would have had at the car boot sale and certainly more than I would get for leaving the book sitting on the bookshelf.
I've booked the afternoon off tomorrow and I'm quite tempted to make it the whole day. The sensible part of me is telling me that I'm wasting my leave so I've decided to see how I got with my work today and then decide. The witch was really horrible yesterday and upset my work colleague. My boss phoned me last night and I told him that this behaviour was totally unacceptable. He agreed and he's going to see if she says any more today.0 -
Have had a lovely surprise today. Was sitting in work at 5 pm and had a text on my phone. My best friend who moved up North about 18 months ago (someone I miss very very much) text me to say she would be at my house at 6. Have just spent a fab 2 and a half hours with her. Got really tearful when she went though. I really miss her and if there was anyone in this world I could choose as my sister it would be her.
Back to reality now, still not had the cheque off Halifax, did pay in the £12 cheque though and posted off the book I sold on Amazon. Managed to get all my work done so I've booked a day off work tomorrow and I'm going to take my mum out for some lunch.0 -
Hi GR...it's lovely to see old friends and catch up but I can understand how you feel when she had to go. Hope you arranged to meet up again soon. Friends are very precious.
At least things are moving with boyfriends house. May not be long before you have important decisions to make...I'm still hopeful of buying a hat you know
Sorry to hear about the *girl* at work, each time she does something like that it's more ammunition, so to speak, not pleasant for her work colleagues though.
Have a lovely day tomorrow, I hope the weather stays nice for you.

Hi GR
Hopefully this girl will shoot herself in the foot before too long. At least you got a nice surprise from your friend. Have a nice day off work.:j0 -
Thanks guys. Kids giving me real headaches today. DS doesn't think he should go to school because the teachers were on strike yesterday and its not worth going today because its Friday! He's been sent out after some stern talking to but he's got a face like thunder. DD has been off ill for the last 3 days and is still moaning. She's also had a talking to and is now in the process of getting ready to go. Have not told them thatI'm off work today or there'll be murder.
Plan is to pop to garden centre and drive mum around to do her bits and pieces and then stop off for some lunch. Will then pick DD up from school later and take her into town. Thats the plan.0
