Well we're half way through the week and all is looking good. Not got many moneysaving plans for today other than take a packed lunch to work.
I opened a savings account with HSBC last night (via Quidco) so earned another £20. Even though I'm debt free I'm still looking at ways to earn a few extra pounds.
Hope you all have a good day.0 -
Hey hun. Hope you're feeling a little better. Well done on the money side. You're doing so well.
This week seems to be going slow. It's either whizzing by or dragging
Keep up the good work

Good morning Diz, I am feeling better, thanks for asking. I do seem to be doing well this week on the money front. I've found this week had absolutely flown by but I've been really busy at work and with the children.
Really don't feel like leaving the house today, the weather is absolutely horrendous and I hate the rain!!!! Have not made packed lunch today ad on a Thursday and Friday I eat at the staff canteen and catch up with my friends, it's only about £2 for a lovely hot meal so I don't feel too guilty about that.
How are you feeling, are you back to 100% or are still a little under the weather?

Hi GR, glad you are feeling better. Sorry I've not been on for a few days. Weathers not been good here either. First rain then snow and then sunshine. Lol! Whats the target for Feb? Hi Racer, I have missed you over the last few days, hope everything is OK with you. I'm going to up the stakes for February and try to save £400. I've got a cheque for £43 to pay in and I've been paid £77.20 from Quidco so that's a good start. By the end of February I aim to have £600 in the ISA.
Weather drier today but we're all wondering if we're going to have snow. Hope not!0 -
Nothing much happened today. I didn't manage to pay the cheque in so that's something I've got to do tomorrow. Have decided to try to save £300 in February so by the end of this month I should have £500 in savings. I think it's going to be tough this month as I've got a girly shopping trip planned for the 15th so I'm goin g to have to tighten my belt.
Had the paperwork through today for my new HSBC savings account. Managed to get £20 through quidco as well. This is going to be the account that I use to save up for anything I want, whereas the ISA is for the future.0 -
Nothing much planned for today other than posting my cheque and doing some food shopping. Got lots of housework to do so will try and catch up with that.0

Well I prepared a meal plan for the week and I've been shopping. I've spent a total of £34 and I've managed to get all the essentials. I can't believe that by planning your list just how much money you can save. I used to spend about £100 per week and fill my trolley up with things that I didn't have time to eat by the sell-by date and end up throwing them away.
Don't get me wrong, none of us are going hungry I'm just buying enough for what we need. Am going to cook a large amount of chicken fried rice tomorrow and freeze it, it should do for some packed lunches next week.0 -
