Good morning Diz, I'm up early and full of go. The plan today is to do some washing and some ironing, put the christmas presents away and pop in to see my uncle. I really need to do some shopping today I really fancy chicken peas and chips and as I've not been eating much lately I'm going to have it. That's the good thing about stress it always makes me lose weight
Can't believe how cold it is this morning, think that's how I'm up so early. Really need to get the thermals out.0 -
Hi GR. How did your day go? Sounds like you were going to be rushing round again. Don't be overdoing it though.
Bitter today wasn't it. I only need to be in the cold a few minutes and my fingers are like ice. BBrrrrrr!!!!!!!
Sold a few things on ebay but am just relisting loads and changing a lot to 99p start. Just want to get shut now. Took a few things to the charity shop today so I feel like I've balanced it out.
I don't know about you GR but come the evenings I just want to zone out.
Have a relaxing warm evening. Get that hot water bottle on your feet

Hi there Diz, another busy day again, I don't know where I'm going to get the time to go back to work
Have sold 4 items today, 1 on AMazon and 3 on e-bay so have made about £20 which isn't too bad I suppose. I know what you mean about getting shot of the stuff, I'm getting frustrated now and want my front room back.
Got another 2 presents yesterday one for my niece and one for my cousins daughter so I'm slowly but surely getting there. Going to pop into town tomorrow and start to buy the 'special' christmas cards.
Your right, it's been freezing today. I think Winter is well on its way, we've even had some snow here. I love the snow but only if I can sit inside and look at it, I hate having to travel to work in it.
Been chilling all evening watching the TV. Don't think sleep is far away, I've had a bit of nodding dog syndrome for the last half hour LOL
Hope your evening has been a good one x0 -
Well its another early morning for me today. Have already done some washing and got the dishes on as I type. I've looked around the house this morning and decided and really need to pull my finger out today and give it a good clean. I'm hoping that DD will be happy to help me when she gets up.
Got 4 parcels to post off today so I'll have to venture out at some point. Also got to visit my uncle so will try and do it all together.
Was thinking this morning that I still hadn't received my £30 compensation cheque from British Gas, so thats something to look forward to. Was hoping for a bit more but beggars can't be choosers.0 -
Oh Monday morning again and my last week on the sick
Not looking forward to going back and can feel myself getting worked up about it already.
This is the last free week I've got to concentrate on Christmas so the job today is to wrap the presents for the kids that I've already got. I've only got about 8 things but if I keep on top of the wrapping I won;t have to spend a whole day in December getting it done. The presents for other people go into gift bags so that's nice and easy.
No news on the money front. Sold a CD on Amazon but only for 1p so not goning to make my millions there0 -
Hi everyone, not been posting much, can't seem to stay awake long enough
Not got very much to update. Still scheduled to go back to work on Monday, that's saying the GP allows me to, got an appointment with him at 5.00 tomorrow.
Money seems to be pretty stagnant at the mo, no major sales on e-bay, although I have listed a few of J's stuff. He wants a new laptop so he's selling loads of stuff to pay for it. Will hopefully manage to make the £400 he needs for it. I'm still plodding on nicely with the christmas shopping and have nearlt got it all done. Just the kids to do and I'll get their pressies when my savings come out at the beginning of December.0 -
Have been up early today and done loads of ironing but still got loads more to do!!! Went to GP yesterday and he still wouldn't sign me off to go back to work, he reckons I look awful, which is pretty bad cos I thought I was looking pretty good yesterday
so it's another 2 weeks off for me.
Don't know where my money is going but I seem to be waiting for tax credit day every week lately. I think it's because I'm off work I'm getting through m money quicker. At least I'm still balancing the books instead of using the credit cards and have almost got Christmas sorted without going into debt. Done another mystery shop yesterday, only made me £10 but it's £10 I wouldn't have earned if I'd have let it go. Got some things on e-bay but nothing seems to be selling. I'm putting it down to the credit crunch.....
Going to meet J at 4 pm today as he's off to buy a new laptop and he needs my bargaining skills. I'm better at it than he is. He's planning to buy the laptop, home office program, security software and the bag so looking to spend about £800. Hopefully I'll get something for free
Don't you hate this time of year. All the leaves have blown off the trees outside and seem to have settled in my hall. Am sick to death of sweeping them up. The only good thing about this time of year is that you don't need to mow the lawn.
My uncle is still in hospital and even though he's getting better he's really agitated, I think it's because neither of his daughters have been to see him. IT's really sad.
Off now to do some more housework before my weekend of sin0 -
Hi GR. I think the doctor knows best and if he doesn't think you should go back there's not a lot you can do.
Sounds like you're really organised for Christmas. I'm not too bad at the moment, just getting bits here and there so hopefully most will be done. DD has decided to invite some family members for Christmas dinner and said she'll make dinner! Usually OH does. I think it'll be like the 'The Chuckle Brothers' in the kitchen!! At least I can sit back and observe LOL
Glad to hear your Uncle is feeling better but it must be heartbreaking for him not having his daughters visit. I despair at the human race sometimes.
Good luck with the haggling for Js computer, I've every faith GR that you'll get a good bargain and a great freebie.

Happy Monday everyone. Have had a lovely weekend but feeling down today as I'm back to my 'normal' life. Am so glad I didn't have to go into work as I really am not up to it so maybe the doctor was right and another 2 weeks is what I need.
Have listed some items on e-bay for J, he bought a new laptop on Saturday and he's getting money together now to pay for itHave sold a mobile phone and one of his jackets and there are 4 watchers on a single bed we've got listed. He's having a good look around this week to see what else he can sell. I think he's caught the bug. E-bay for me has been pretty quiet but I've got loads of items ending today and there are watchers on 3 of my items which should make me about £50 profit if they sell. I managerd to get a good deal on the laptop. I had £30 off speakers, £10 off the laptop bag ad they threw in anti-virus software for free so saved him about £100. Think I'm going to start charging him commission!!!
Have been reading the PPI reclaiming board and know for a fact that back in 2005 when I took out a Norther Rock loan that I was told I could only have the loan if I agreed to take out PPI so I've decided to try to reclaim it. The loan is long paid off but who knows?????
Bought another Christmas present over the weekend Diz, a nice shirt and tie from M&S for J. I had vouchers to use so it didn't cost me a penny. So even more moneysaving0 -
I knew you'd get some goodies for J.
How did you do on ebay? Hope those items went that you had watchers on.
As for the ebay bug...helped a friend from work to get set up and she's got the bug too! It can be sooo addictive.
Good luck if you decide to claim re: the PPI. At least you always have a go GR and it usually pays off for you
Well done with the Christmas organising too. It'll be here before we know it.
I've neglected my diary a lot at the moment apart from updating sig. I think I may have to update but there's nothing really to add. At least I can keep up to date with you guys on yours.
Have a relaxing evening.
