Hiya GR... you won't regret getting the pressies sorted early. Just imagine no rushing around and stressing trying to grab presents that you're not sure if anyone will like, and all because it's rushed. This way it gives you a chance to really think about the person and put a gift together that means something.
I've written most of my Christmas cards out but need to order some special ones for relatives from the Dr. Hadwen trust. In fact I'll do that very shortly.
Got up quite late today but didn't go to bed till about 2am.
It's bitterly cold here even though it's quite sunny!

Glad your having a good day Diz. I didn't get up until 10.30 this morning, I've done a few jobs and fell asleep on the settee at 4.00 and just woken up now. I've had a few days where I've been feeling on top of the world and today I'm not feeling quite as good. The only thing that's happened today is that I've had a phone call off my boss stating that as the issues are now resolved when am I coming back to work. It annoyed me a litte and I think it's put me in a bad mood

Hardly eaten today, had 2 pieces of toast for breakfast and about to have another two pieces now. Can;t even be bothered to cook myself anything. How lazy is that LOL. Then I'm going to have a bath and curl up on the settee and write the cards. Hope you've got something a little more exciting to look forward to.....

Aren't phone calls from your boss like that illegal. I'm sure you're not supposed to get phone calls from work when you're off on the sick. I may be wrong though. I'm not surprised you're in a mood with that. Anyway has it been resolved? Has she admitted her behaviour was wrong and has there been some sort of procedure put in place were she will be observed!!!!!
Thought the mediation would be over a few weeks with her to be honest GR. Was it just a one off session then?
As for tonight we're staying in too. Friends have asked us out but I'm shattered and a night in the warmth sounds good to me. I think I'm getting old...
I've ordered my cards and a couple of extra things, so that's out of the way.
Do you know GR I eat toast when I can't be bothered to cook anything, at least it's something.
Just enjoy this evening all snuggled up.

Apparently it was just a one off session of mediation. She admitted that she's got problems out of work (haven't we all) that is affecting her mood inside work and she's promised to be more careful in future (yeah). We are having another mediation session in a month to see how it's gone.

As for the boss, he's always been like it. This is the first time I've ever been sick in 19 years and I think he's worried as I'm off with work issues. I've got an appointment with the occupational health department on Monday so I'm going to play it a bit and stay off until my note runs out. I will not let them intimidate me into returning until I'm ready.

Your not getting old at all Diz, a night in in the warm and watchint rubbish on TV is very moneysaving so well done on that

Can't believe the clocks go back tomorrow, winter is well and truly here isn't it? At least we get an extra house in bed tomorrow night, something to look forward to.

Morning all, another weekend upon us and one where we can have an extra hour in bed

Have managed to secure the help of DD with regards to the cleaning today! The little angel has just popped out to the Halifax to pay some money in for me and she promises that when she gets back she give a helping hand. There's not a tremendous amount to do but the house is getting me down at the moment. If she only picks up her own mess it'll look more like a palace LOL.

Not planning going out today, going to concentrate on the house and maybe have an hour later on today before I go down J's.

Hows ebay doing? Mine's still a bit slow unfortunately. Nevermind.
Same here GR as regards the house. At the moment it just looks like a demolition derby. For some reason I just haven't got the inclination to do anything about it. Because I'm desperate to redecorate anything I do just doesn't feel worth doing, if you get what I mean, so I carry this 'house grudge' around with me!
Not to worry eh? God forbid things could be worse!!!

Hi there Diz, hows everything with you? Half term for you and normally your off decorating or decluttering

Weekend was pretty good but I was still feeling anxious after the telephone call from the boss. I had to go to the Occupational Health department yesterday and I worked myself up for that. The doctor there was lovely and basically told me that he didn't think I should go back just yet. Promised to have another think about it butwill probably go back a week Monday Not looking forward to it at all.

E-bay is a bit slow at the moment which is annoying. I hate it when it's slow it demotivates me. Amazon ticking along nicely also but not making the millions I envisaged.....

Won £49 on the lottery on Saturday so that cheered me up no end. Treated myself to a new microphone for the karaoke machine and put some of the other money into Christmas cards as gifts for family. How organised am I????? Pay day tomorrow and theres an item I want from Cardiff. I've calculated it up and by the time I put petrol in the car and pay for parking and buy lunch if DD comes with me it's going to be cheaper to get the item online so I think that's what I'm going to do. The £5 delivery charge will be pittance compared to what I'd spend if I went into town. I can't quite believe how sensible I've become with regards to money, in the past I would have just gone to town and not thought about the cost. You guys must be rubbing off on me.

Got a quiet week this week. It doesn't look as if J is going to have a day off this week so there'll be no day out for me. I will have the usual Saturday night to look forward to though so alls not lost. I know he's off next Tuesday as he has a solicitors appointment so we'll probably spend the day together then as well.

Think thats about it for an update in life. Not very much to report I'm afraid but sometimes boring is nice

Pay day today and I've had a rise - an extra £30 per month. Nothing major but enough to pay my water rates

Have been out for most of the day, popped to ikea and bought a few odds and ends and then went to TKMaxx and bought another christmas present for J, one for my sister in law and one for my niece. Also ordered something from Lakeland for J's mum and Dad so have achieved an awful lot today.

Going to have a chill out this afternoon as I think I've overdone it again

So much for my chill. Had a phone call from the doctors surgery to say my uncle was being admitted to hospital. He's got daughters of his own but they don't bother. I've ended up going to the hospital with himsettling him into the ward and getting some stuff for him. I'm sure to go to heaven

Hey good news with the wage rise as well. It all helps doesn't it? and I bet that was a nice surprise too.
I've started a spicy chinese hamper for SS and his girlfriend from the children. Keep adding to it whenever I go shopping. At least it's something that'll get used. Doing a chocolate and coffee hamper for eldest SS.
Are you sure GR that you should be going back to work next week if you've been advised not to go in yet? Maybe see how you feel at the weekend.
We're not doing so bad are we as regards Christmas. I've written out my cards and ordered special ones for relatives from The Dr Hadwen Trust, so I'm nearly done there.
