Hi there Diz, how are things with you?
At long last my uncle came out of hospital yesterday so at least there's no more visiting. As for e-bay, well I sold 2 out of 3 of J's things, the third thing is ending tonight so I'm hoping that'll go. There are 3 watchers on it so fingers crossed. As for my own e-bay, well that's very quiet at the moment, not sold anything for a few days now. I have relisted loads of books on AMazon though but only one of those has sold
I'm hoping I'll be lucky with the PPI although I dont hold out much hope but I won't know unless I try!!! Also still waiting for my compensation cheque off British Gas, all £30 of it. Am really skint this week, have had to put extra petrol in the car to go visiting at the hospital and then all the extras I've been buying for Christmas have all added up. Am down to my last £2 in my purse which I'll give £1 each to DD and DS today. Am determined not to withdraw any more money though so we'll just have to manage.0 -
Hi
Glad to hear your uncle out of hospital. My Mum cameout Sunday and is resting at her Sisters in Devon for three weeks.
Fingers crossed ebay picks up for you. Claiming PPI a great idea. May take some time but little effort and Im sure it will pay out.:j0 -
Hi Wendy, glad you mum is doing well. It's good that she's gone to stay at her sisters as well as it takes some of the pressure off you.
Well I had a lovely surprise today a letter from the Halifax saying that due to the interest rate cut my mortgage is going down over £80 from December. That put a little smile on my face today
Also managed to sell J's bed. Have made him just over £150 in one week. Not bad for his first week at ebaying. Pity I wasn't making any money for myself. Still I mustn't grumble. I made my millions on e-bay earlier on in the year.0 -
Hi GR...What have you been up to? Hows everything going?
Good news re:the mortgage.I bet that was a lovely surprise.
Not sold anything on amazon for a while. J's done well on ebay hasn't he...thanks to you
Nothing much for me to report. Ebay slow for me at the moment but selling the odd thing here and there.
Have a lovely relaxing day tomorrow hun.

Hi Diz, absolutely nothing happening here at all. Has another lovely weekend at J's but thats about all I've got to report. Felt as sick as a dog on Sunday but I think it was just down to being very very tired, slept most of yesterday and feel so much better today. I don;t know what's the matter with me don't think I've ever slept this much in my whole life
Got court on Thursday for J's property settlement and I'm praying that it's going to go well for him. He's really nervous and worrying about it as it's already cost him thousands and thousands of pounds.
Was really chuffed with the mortgage payment decrease. I feel as if something is on my side even if the rest of Britain is in recession. As with you e-bay is really slow, got a few watchers on some items but they're only listed for a few pounds so no major money making there. SOld a Wii game on Amazon on the weekend and that netted me £7 profit and have done 2 mystery shops over the last week or so but apart from that everything is ticking over very very slowly.0 -
Hello there GR! :hello:
How are you doing? Hope you've been picking up some bargains in the sales for those last minute presents.
It's so cold now isn't it, winter eh!
How did it go for J on Thursday? Really hope it went ok and he can put all that behind him now and focus on his new life with you and the children.
Nothing for me to report except ebay really slow, still selling but not the few items I was a day, now it's more like a few a week. Still, better than nothing.
Have a fab rest of the weekend and hopefully will catch up with you tomorrow.

Hi Dizzy, glad everything OK with you although slow with e-bay.
Well Thursday with J was better than expected, she went from expecting over £20K to walking away with nothing. We were absolutely overjoyed.
I've been a bit quiet ver the last few days as I'm back in work today and I'm not looking forward to it. Have worked myself up int quite a state about it all and gone into hibernation, which is what I do when I'm in a situation I don't like
E-bay is very slow for me as well, listed a load of leather jackets on Saturday morning that J's mother wanted me to sell for her so I'm hoping I can make her a nice little sum there, as for my own stuff, there's no moving it.
There's nothing happening on the money front for me, no news on my PPI although I didn't expect to hear about it yet and still no compensation cheque from British Gas. Have overspent slightly this month, but what with Christmas coming up I can't really expect to stay in budget can I and even though I've overspent, it's been cash not credit cards or loans as in previous years so I'm happy with that.
Am off to Worcester next weekend with the girls. We go every year and even though I'm looking forward to going, I really don;t want not to spend the weekend with J. Loved up or what????
Off to work now, that's if I can make it through the door, catch you later xxx0 -
Hi hun.
Dare I ask how it went today? Hope it was all okay.

It wasn't brilliant Diz but I did it. Only shed some tears once and didn't let anybody see me. Can' believe I've got to do it all again today. My manager did say he wanted to speak to me today about my grading so I think I may be heading for a payrise which is good
Was in bed by 9.00 last night, found the day really tiring and am absolutely shattered this morning. Still, I must soldier on.
Off now to get ready for another day in hell, hopefully catch you later hun xx0 -
GR I'm so sorry things are not good at work. Did anything happen with 'you know who' or was it just a feeling in general that you really didn't want to be there.
Maybe in a few days time once you get back in the swing, so to speak, it will become easier.
Good news about the grading. Boss is probably thinking you may be looking to leave and is hoping a pay rise will help to keep you there. Shows you're appreciated hun.
Have a very relaxing evening and I hope things are better tomorrow for you.
