Hi there uys, not been feeling too good again over the last few days. WHat is the matter with me??? Have got central heating but no hot water. Haven't had it since last Wednesday and it won't be fixed until next Wednesday. What is the point of paying an agreement that guarantees a call out within 24 hrs if they can't fix the bleeding problem for a week!!!
E-bay been pretty good lately, sold £45 worth of Bratz dolls, £51 worth of bunk bed and a few odds and ends along the way. Have not checked my paypal account but there should be a nice little sum there for me.
Diz, I agree with Wendy with regards to the OD, couldn't you get a 0% card to pay it off, cancel it altogether and then pay off the card? It's something worth thinking about.

Hi GR...a big hug coming your way. Have you an inckling what it might be but in a 'subliminal' way not allowing it to surface?? Do you know what I mean?
Good news with ebay. That's a great amount.
Hope the hot water is soon sorted out. Don't know how you're managing. Remember hun it's supposed to be stress free for you whilst you're not at work.
Talking of which guess who's been to the doctors tea-time and has a chest infection? Yep, me again!!! Got antibiotics and steroids and not back in until Thursday.
Shall we blame it on the weather...:)

Oh Diz, big hugs to you too, hope the antibiotics kick in really quickly and your feeling better soon. I know whats gnawing at me yes, just keeping it buried (which is what I do best). Had a big argument with ex hubby on Saturday and it really upset me. Went down J's and was hoping for a chilling weekend but he wasn't in the best of moods so my mood just got worse. It's the same time every month that I argue with ex (he's like a period) it's always when his CSA money is due.....
I'm not really managing without the hot water, thank god my mum lives just around the corner. She's got visitors tonight so I didn't like to pop over for a shower so I tried to run a bath. Have had every saucepan boiling some water and put the kettle on. Managed to get enough water for a bath but there was only about an inch or 2 of water for me
I have written a really rotten letter of complaint to British Gas so maybe I'll get some compensation. There's no harm in hoping is there?
Kids go back to school tomorrow (there's been a problem with a gas leak at the school so they've been off for a week) and I can't wait. I love them to bits but they are interferring with my sick leave
A work colleague/friend popped around tonight and even though it was great seeing her I really don't want to go back to work. I really don't know what to do. I've got another 2 weeks off so I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.0 -
Still not feeling in the best of moods but not quite as bad as yesterday. Have managed to sell 3 small items which I'll need to pop out to post later. Also need to put some money in the household direct debit account to cover the DD's coming out tomorrow. STill not had CSA of the ex and I must admit I'm starting to worry about it slightly.
Have not got any plans this week, no mystery shops, no days out with J as he's working all week and no plans of my own as such so I guess it's just ploughing through the ironing and perservering with e-bay
Am starting to have a panic about Christmas (I know it's ages away). Ive saved about £900 and I'm hoping that the children can have £200 each and the rest will go for everybody else and food. That should be plenty shouldn't it? I've got another 3 to buy for this year J, J's mum and J's dad. I think that I'll have a look in the 'present box' this afternoon and make a list of what's there and allocate them to individuals. I'll make a list on the computer so I'll know exactly where I am. Me thinks thats a good plan.
Off to do some jobs now before DD comes home from school fr her lunch. See you later. GR x0 -
Good idea to plan for xmas GR. I have some money but nothing planned or brought yet. Aim to take a few days around Nov pay day and blitz it then. I think alot of people may end up with Bodyshop stuff!!:j0
-
Body shop stuff is lush:) Have just updated my olympic challenge. I must admit, I thought I'd done better than that but I can't grumble.
I haven't managed to have a lot in the 'present box' yet. Got people coming to pick the bunk bed up at 5.00 so just killing time until they come. Really hope they do come and get it, my front room is really cluttered.0 -
Wow a quarter of teh way to your target already GR thats a goog start. I do like Bodyshop stuff not as cheap as some stuff but still worth it.:j0

I buy lots of Avon stuff through the year. There's a girl at work who dies it and it's ever so convenient (too convenient in fact). I tend to pick up odds and ends for stocking fillers and put them in the 'present box' hence I never really know what I've got.
I must admit I'm a bit disappointed about my total, I had it in my head that I was way past the £300 mark but I mustn't grumble. I've sent a letter of complaint to British Gas, it's recently come to light that I've paid fr 7 full years of my homecare agreement and only ever had 4 services. I know I'm paying for peach of mind of them fixing my central heating whenever it breaks down but the experience I've had with them over the last week I'm hoping they can see a little goodwill gesture heading my wayI can but try.
I love your new challenge Wendy, it's a good idea. I never used to have money for emergencies and when the emergencies occurred it would always set me back a month or two. Lets hope you get a nice little nest egg saved.0 -
Well the bed has gone and I'm sitting here waiting for the gas man to fix my hot water. First thing I'm going to do is have a shower
I still don't feel on top of the world, been on the phone to work and they've made an appointment for me to attend HR on Monday for an informal chat. Not really looking forward to it but it's something I've got to do.
No news on the money front. All the DD's gone out today and left me with £2.11 in my current account. I don't care as long as the bills are paid. No sales on e-bay. Had 3 people watching one item but nobody bought it. What is the point of watchers???0 -
Hello GR...I understand how you feel about going in to HR. Not something I'd like hanging over me but how one person can make others feel the way she does is beyond belief. Do you hold out much hope for the meeting.
Have you been having a ponder about changing your career whilst you've been off. I know you shouldn't have to but when it comes down to your health, well, it's pretty serious really isn't it?
How are you and J? Did you sort anything out with ex about the csa. You don't really need this hassle at this moment in time do you?
Hey well done though with your Christmas savings. I don't think there's any reason for you to start panicking, it looks like you've got it all under control to me. And I think £200 each for the children sounds wonderful.
I'm feeling a little better now the medications kicking in. I'm going in tomorrow then I'm not in Friday anyway so hopefully I'll be able to manage one day.
OH posted a couple of parcels for me yesterday morning. I've got another to post today but I'm going to get wrapped up warm and do that myself shortly.
Catch you later hun. And hope that gas man arrives soon
