WELL DONE MARIA!!!!
As Lilmiss said, you maybe treat yourself because you have worked so so hard to become debt free, and then start saving!!!! :j :j :j
Are you going to turn your diary into a saving diary now??0 -
Thanks peeps,:j
I was thinking of carrying on my diary to keep me motivated, as it is titled 'sorting my life out' and so far i have become debt free but still need to sort my life out! :rotfl:
E.g Job, savings, moving out, baby.
So if nobody minds i shall carry on posting here to keep me on track.:o
Starting off with my new monthly plan
Ok so i earn £560 a month
Outgoings:
£35 Mob
£40 Petrol
£8 Internet
TOTAL: £83
So im left with £477
Then im going to allow myself a £30 monthly budget to spend (now im debt free;) )
TOTAL £447
So the £447 left every month i shall put straight into my ISA!!!
Well thats the plan anyway! I asked my dad if he wants me to pay him some keep now i dont have any debt, but he said he would rather me save it to move out! ...he cant wait to get rid!:rotfl: As long as i take mum shopping and pay half the internet his happy.
But i also have other plans which involve me spending some money. Im thinking of buying a bike to cycle to work its only about 3 or 4 miles from home but costs me £10 a week in petrol from queueing! Now the sun is out id quite like to cycle to work, although it will be scarey cycling on the busy roads to my work it will save me more money.
And i still want to do some of them free online courses to get some qualifications and better my CV. But for that i need a laptop!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Thats a brilliant idea Maria. I find a diary helps me stay motivated and stay on the right track.
A bike sounds like a good idea, it will save you money, as well as keeping you fit and healthy. I have just bought a bike recently and i love it. Great going out on it in the evenings when the sun's still out.
Can you do free online courses? is that like a learn direct kinda thing.
Good luck with your new monthly plan :T0 -
These were the ones i was looking at a while ago
http://www.vision2learn.net/channels/index.aspx only about 5 are NQV's the rest are A level courses. But if there free....every little helps on a CV. Rather than me putting down that i have excellent microsoft knowledge i can put i have an NVQ in whatever.;)Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35!
