Hi lo_fi
Thanks for taking the time to post your feedback.
We take a little less in the warmer months, and a little more in the cooler months. We do this because it matches energy usage and avoids our Members from building up debt or credit.

Hi - I'm thinking of switching to Pure Planet, but wanted to check what payment in advance means.
I think my current supplier bills me in arrears, so if I switched to PP, would it mean I pay twice in one month - once to cover the arrears from my old supplier and once to cover the advance payment charged by PP?
Also grateful for any recent customer experience with PP. This thread suggests a mixed picture - doesn't appear to be a consensus one way or another about PP.0 -

We start powering your home and collect your first payment
We charge up front because we buy your energy in advance. If your old supplier collects payment in arrears, you might make two payments this month - one to your old supplier for the energy you've already used and the other to us for the energy you'll use in the month ahead. Please contact your old supplier if you'd like them to stop taking payments.

Thanks. Looks like you do have to make two payments in one month. Hmmm.
I'm not sure how contacting your old supplier helps. If you owe them, you've got to pay them.0 -

Thank you for this feedback. Our app does work on tablet. It's optimised (design-wise) for mobile but we do have many members who choose to use a tablet, and in terms of functionality it's fine.
Features-wise, we're adding more through iteration.
But I take your point of course, and I'll feed this back to the team.
(Side note, I'm personally interested in the Android/Chrome mirroring work that Google is working on. Where Android apps can effectively be run on desktop - though I do appreciate that this isn't quite the same thing).
Thanks
Marc @Pure Planet
It would be good if I could run the app on my Acer Chromebook R11 (Chrome OS v69). It has the Google Play Store installed, but says that your app is incompatible when I try to install it. I have successfully run your app on my Fire 7” tablet (5th Gen) which also has the Google Play Store installed, but you might want to put a copy of your app on the Amazon app store?0 -
I am in the process of switching from Ecotricity to Pure Planet for both gas and electricity. It has been a incredibly frustrating. ...On the morning of the commencement date I received an email from PurePlanet saying they were sorry to hear I was leaving them... If this was not the case to contact them... The only way seemed to be via a "bot" ... I told the bot I did not want to cancel my gas .. The bot replied " we do not do gas only accounts"... This was the start of a long and frustrating series of mesages. I posted a bad review on Trust Pilot and "Lo and Behold" I got an email and later even a phone call. They had switched my neighbours gas supply not mine... (he now cannot switch HIS supply).. I used the email address to ask for someone to call me but NO... I got an email... I replied to this saying I had asked for phone contact... no reply... I am only waiting for the switch to go through properly, for me AND my neighbour before getting out of this company... Their absolutely terrible communications system is not worth any savings... I shall be looking for a company with people not bots0

Hi RichardLP
Thanks for the feedback
I'll pass this info on to our tech team.
Are Android apps generally stable when running on this Acer Chromebook?

Hi SeanAB
Great that you're thinking of switch to Pure Planet :T
We take your Direct Debit in advance because we buy your energy upfront.
If your old supplier collects payment in arrears, you might make two payments during your switch month - one to your old supplier for the energy you’ve already used and the other to us for the energy you’ll use in the month ahead.
Please contact your old supplier if you think they should stop a payment. They’ll refund any overpayments after they send your final bill. Typically, that takes six weeks.

I've been pleasantly surprised at how well Android apps run on the Acer Chromebook R11, I'm currently using Outlook, Onedrive, Kindle, Viber and ES File Explorer Pro and they all work OK, so I was surprised when the Play Store said your app was not compatible. I'd be happy to try running the apk directly, but probably best to follow this up in your Community section.
Regards,
