Package Holiday Compensation / Refund

In september me and my newly married wife went on a honeymoon package with Jet2.
To cut a long story sort (for now), it was sold as 5* Luxury Resort. Turned out to be one of the worst holidays we've been on: Rubbish food, rude staff, rubbish drinks, etc, etc.
Jet2 are taking ages to reply to emails and have only offered seats and food on another outbound flight as "compensation".
Ideally, I want my money back. Where/what do I need to do?

Take your point, but I'm far from happy with what was provided. I've filled out forms, spoke to their line manager whilst in resort, and waited months for a responce. We spent all of our wedding gifted money on this so its not just as simple as "One mans rubbish food & drinks is another's persons perfect food & drink."0 -

What I do want is advise on who else to contact in relation to claiming compensation/refund OR a response template stating legal aspects so that they take it seriously.
Being palmed off with "free seat reservation and meals" on the next outbound flight is far from acceptable taking all points into consideration.0 -
The tripadvisor reviews are very good.
Looks luxurious but I can't see why just because you didn't like the food you should get a refund? I didn't say it was only the food. The complaint I wrote whilst in the resort was 2 sides of A4.0

I dont think many people will be able to help without enough information, as the poster above me has said the reviews are quite good on Tripadvisor. So we really need to know the issues you had so you can get a balanced response & advice.Dwy galon, un dyhead,

You need to complain to jet2.
You need to exhaust their complaints procedure. From that youve got a few options. ABTA or ATOL will help try and thrash out an agreement between jet2 and yourself. Alternatively you can take them to the small claims court. You will need to show a case and provide evidence a judge will decide the outcome.
I couldnt possibly comment on what is or isnt acceptable without knowing all the point being considered.0 -
Best thing to do is to read my review on TripAdvisor where I state everything wrong with the trip.
