I call bull, its clearly advertised as a 4* plus hotel on Jet2.

And base price for 2 adults next September flying from Manchester is £1400 which is £200 less than I paid for me & my children (2 of them) for a 3* AI hotel in Majorca.Dwy galon, un dyhead,

I don't see how you can demand your money back just because YOU didn't like the hotel, the other reviews seem quite good and some of your complaints are a bit childish, moaning act the lack of English channels, it'a foreign country..... they didn't' speak enough English, why should they? I'm sure if a Turkish person came to London on holiday then they would not expect the hotel staff to speak Turkish....the food, that's your opinion, you didn't like it but you were not made ill. The lack of an iron/ironing board in the room?? It's a hotel room not a self catering apartment...if I was thinking of going there, not that I would go to Turkey then I would take your review with a pinch of salt. But maybe Jet2 will give you a goodwill voucher or something...... Good luck.0

A week in May is £550, cheaper than a 4* HB in Menorca. You get what you pay for.
I can't believe that anyone with experience in hospitality would not know how standards vary between countries. As far as Turkish hotels go it looks a very nice one.
I read half your complaint and gave up. There might be some valid stuff in there but they are lost amidst all the trivial non issues.0 -
Having read the complaint i think you couldve saved yourself a lot of time by missing out unimportant stuff.
A lot of the issues are neither the hotels or jet2's problem these include:
The wasted space in the room. Most people consider additional space a good thing.
You not finding (or asking for) the international drinks for a few days
Someone being offended because you tipped them 60p.
You not liking soup and bread
You not liking the array of 30 desserts
You not liking a buffet, which, by definition consists of several dishes.
Two tvs being hung within 3 metres of each other.
Being beat to the sun lounger by i can only assume germans. (its a war thing, they just cant let churchills fight them on the beaches go.)
2 english channels on tv. Seriously who watches tv on holiday? If youre watching tv on holiday, youre holidaying wrong.
Air conditioning is usually extremely wasteful. Eg in a corridor thats only purpose is a corridor of which it will be trying to cool down the planet as some numpty will leave a door open.
Pool side entertainment is what was advertised. If you wanted a relax pick a hotel that doesnt offer pool side entertainment.
Bascially youve got a complaint for rudeness and being put in the wrong room. I doubt youll get a full refund. Id be looking more in the lines of about 20% of total cost maximum.
Have you checked if youre entitled to flight delay compensation for the delayed flight? That might be mroe lucrative than complaining to jet2 or the hotel.0 -
In my experience, hotel staff respond to the attitude of the guest. They were rude to you? If your demeanour was similar to that displayed on this thread I am not surprised.0

Can I ask how you got to the 20% figure, especially taking into account that a fair part of the total cost would be the flight?0 -
