I have grown a couple of lettuce by the back door and just pick the leaves that I need. Saves a fortune throughout the summer.
Also planted garlic.weight loss target 23lbs/49lb0 -

I found this next one on flylady. Use the things that have been in your bathroom cupboard gathering dust as you discovered you weren't that keen on them. Swish them in your toilet bowl and it comes up sparkling. I also have some old shampoo in my toilet brush container.weight loss target 23lbs/49lb0

...and that it's OK and good to be frugal, it's not just something odd to do because we're skint, better to be careful about what we spend and have empty credit cards than to buy what we'd like and worry about debt...(been there, done that, sent the tshirts to the charity shop!)Piglet

I second the "cut everything in half" I only use half a dishwashing tablet, I cut my sponges in half etc etc. Everything now lasts twice as long.
Rubber chicken is the best. My personal record is 17 covers/meals . Havent been able to beat that yet. And I only buy a smallish bird as I prefer a organic one.
Also in the last few months, what I have learnt most from this board is that its ok to go without certain things or just use something different. "mend and make do" This applies to everything in my life now. And this has helped me to finally leave my job to spend more time with my little girl.
so in a way this board has changed my life more than I realised thank you.Happy days
