    You're welcome :D

If you've lost a small item eg ear-ring, put a nylon stocking over the end of your vacuum attachment and hoover where you think it is - the item will be sucked up but will be trapped in the nylon.

to test how fresh an egg is, put it in a glass of water:

if it floats on the surface - yuck! dont eat
if it floats half way - not so fresh, but it wont kill you.
if it sinks to the bottom - it straight from the chickens bum (nice and fresh)

Shaving cream makes a great stain remover for carpets and dralon suites. Work into the spot well and rinse with cold water.

If you're going to mash your potatoes you might as well cut them small. At about 1 inch (2-3cm) they'll take half the time to cook - 10 to 15 mins.

I once had one of those ohmigawdIforgottoputthetaterson! moments a while back so I diced them at about 1/2 inch (1 cm) and had them cooked for mashing in just five minutes flat :)

Disposable anything is rarely a good thing. "They" want you to throw it away so you have to buy another one! Look for reusable alterantives e.g. cloth dusters (or old t shirts) instead of disposable dusting mitts etc.
