Actually, you don't need stock for soup, full stop. Another deliberate and pointless manufactured culinary mystique punctured.0

Don't buy a stand to put your washing up implements and/or cutlery in while draining. Just use a large yoghurt pot with some holes in the bottom :TWeight loss: Start weight: 80kg; Current Weight: 77kg; Target weight: 55kg0

There's a thread or two on this, no doubt Zippychick will be round with her hoover soon and point you in the right direction. There's the use stardrops for everything idea, using microfibre cloths for cleaning, cutting tumble dryer sheets in half, using cheap bubble bath instead of liquid soap the list goes on...............It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Everything I do, i have picked up on the os boards.
i use stardrops, white vinegar and water in an old spray bottle for cleaning my kitchen. I use stardrops, bleach and water in an old spray bottle for cleaning the bathroom. White vinegar for the shower screen.
For clothes i make up my own laundry gloop and i use own brands fabric conditioner which I dilute 1 part conditioner to 3 parts water. My clothes still come out smelling lovely.
I use microfibre clothes for all cleaning and i crochet my own scrubbies for washing up out of wool i was given!
Ds2 got hold of a black marker pen this morning and decided to draw over our dinning room table. Squirt of stardrops mixture with a bit of sugar and rubbed gently got rid of it! Took me about 10 mins but it worked!!0 -
Ooh I know a better one! Hairspray and no rubbing would have gotten it off in ten seconds! I love hairspray, we should have a thread about how many alternative uses you can find for everyday household stuff, like hairspray, tinfoil, etc. There probably is one, mind! It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Stardrops is my fave! I used to spend pounds on Cif & the like to clean the cooker - let alone the hours & arm ache I used to get ..... now I spray it on after I've made a cuppa - go drink the cuppa (while posting here lol) - go wipe the cooker - job done!I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0
