Forgot to say I paid £32 for my hair cut   _pale_
I had a letter from the salon where I used to go about 2 years ago with a £10 voucher to use on my next appointment.
Before we went away I went in for a cut - it still cost me £26
But it badly needed a cut.
The girl though was a bit enthusiastic and its now at shoulder level - not had it this short in decades - well never really. So now it looks like a mop head and I literally cant do anything with it, too short to tie up or put into a bun and I cant get it to curl under or round the swivel brush
But it will grow again, hopefully by the summer
And I wont get it cut again for another 2 years“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

We are just starting this for DS1, it appears a flipping nightmare.
It is - and you will wish you hadn't asked
Errant son starts his phase one training in May which is 14 weeks in length and he then gets 2 weeks leave. Then he does his trade training which is phase 2 and 42 weeks long - not sure when he is allowed leave during this time.
While he is in training he is on a lower salary so he cant start the process until after phase 2 and he gets his first proper posting. Then he is will be on a full salary so then he has to wait for 6 months because he still has to prove that he is earning about a certain level and have wage slips to prove it.
I've no idea what the process is regarding getting married persons quarters but that will come in time.
Only then can he start the process“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
That is actually why I am in a state of flux today.
Errant son goes off on his phase one 14 weeks training in May - same base as his big brother did his training at. Originally he was told it would be February but that didn't happen and then finally he got this May start date.
Errant son has been working full time at his temp job at the hotel this year since he got back from the Christmas holidays - varying amount of shifts every week and very occasionally he also got a housekeeping shift to fill in the gaps.
Yesterday was his last day at the hotel. Its the same hotel as Eldest child worked at when she was at 6th form - she actually started at 15 and they then realised she was under age so she was sacked and then rehired after her birthday. So with long gaps inbetween times we have had 15 years of 2 of our kids working there.
We had dinner at the hotel last night and it was quite poignant as Errant son is much treasured by the staff and the hotel. His boss says they are going to have to employ 2 people to take his place and he wasn't joking!
All of his stuff is packed up and ready for May so in the meantime he is having 10 days walking, climbing and biking etc. So he filled the van last night and he has gone off since 6.30 this morning for a week or so to meet up with old mates in the Lakes and then onto the Scottish borders and possibly further north.
We are getting ourselves ready again for having an empty nest, although it will be staggered this time - 10 days, then 14 weeks and then 42 weeks before he is gone altogether.
When he came home in April 2017 we were only just sorted out - physically, mentally, emotionally - with there only being the 2 of us. At that time we thought it was forever but fate had different ideas. Now we have to start the whole process of adjusting again.
I've relished today only having to wash up once instead of 4 times and the wash basket is empty and it will stay that way now for at least 3 days“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

what about mini coke. im just too tired to work it out or go get some0 -
Not only am I talking to myself I am also quoting myself
I noticed the hippease snacks appeared again on COS yesterday (also now sold in Waitrose apparently) with 5 days to run but today it seemed to be a one day offer so they had to be got today
We went to my little store which fortunately had restocked the Hippease to get them and also found the G&B chocolate :j
And also had another look at the £6 dinner offers which didn't look inspiring online but it was a better selection instore. I think that is what I am going to use the £2 wys £12 till spit for - its got a 30/04 expiry date. The dirty fries look very yummy although I don't know what I'd eat them with - maybe herta sausages. My little store also had a chicken breast and leek meal for 2 which looked like the best value and also sticky toffee puds, 2 small pots.Todays milk and coleslaw run to the Co-op produced 2 till spits both valid until 30/04
50p wys cooked meat, poultry, pate, sandwich fillers
£2 wys £12
The latter is going to prove difficult, never spent that much in one go.
Is it £12 till total or will the MOC not work after I've used the NUS card which is a form of payment?
I was wondering about the £6 meal deal but the dinnertime meal deal this week includes beef lasagne which I am not keen on. The frozen meal deal does not look good either.
It might just have to be 3 packs of chicken breast ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I don't go to a salon AJ so I only pay £10 for a haircut so I can't compare with you. I wash it at home so it's wet when I get there and I don't bother with a blow dry after.
My hairdresser used to have her own salon but since having young children has worked from home which benefits me. :money:
I do miss the luxury of being pampered though, it is different having the whole works done.
Lately I have been using the local college - a cut, wash, deep conditioning treatment and blow dry with all the various sprays and mousses cost me £16.50 with a 3rd year student. The are supervised all the way through by their Tutor. They do a very good job and for the first couple of nights I tie a silk scarf around when I go to bed - stays in very well.ELITE 5:2

So, how much do you lot pay for a wet cut and blow dry please?
I had my hair cut yesterday. Came out of the salon feeling like a million dollars, beautifully straightened hair and a full fringe. Too late for photos  I awoke this morning to real bad 'bed hair' . Fringe? What fringe? I have no fringe, needs wetting down and fussed over to entice it back into place :mad:Forgot to say I paid £32 for my hair cut   _pale_
We had a branch of Celly's open up in a nearby town last year, they charge £9.90 for a wash and cut, don't like getting it cut too often but have to have it done to avoid it growing outwards :eek:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
