    Sarah, glad Dad is doing better but arggghhhhh at dh :(
    I pay £15 for a dry cut and eyebrow wax.
    Mhoc i am sure things will work out for errant son , my niece is adamant on the Navy, she thought she could apply May when she leave school, but she is not 16 till November so cant till then.
    Oh and its hissing it down, we had a corker of a storm earlier:eek::eek::eek:

    Is your niece going to do a couple of years at college or 6th form to fill in the gap?
    Even if she applies in November it could be months before she completes all of the stages. If the navy is anything like the army it could be 6 months at least depending on the trade she wants to go for

    Hello bubbs :kisses3::kisses3::kisses3:

    I've just been browsing the sale pages as well - there is a 20% code on vouchercodes - some very nicely priced very practical things - it would be very easy to get carried away.
    Also some possible gifts

    I totally understand - my checked case weighed 30kg and hand luggage 7 kg on the dot.

    It is weird with them paying - but it is something I need to adjust to.

    As a parent of adult children, the most wonderful feeling in the world is when they are all home and in bed asleep.... it just feels like bliss (although normally there are a few GF in the house as well).

    :D:D:D:D:D

    You will quickly adjust to it again - and all the freedom that it gives you... just remember not to open your curtains whilst walking around naked! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

    Yes, its odd the things you miss. I've got my scanties drying on the upstairs shower room radiator - usually these have to be put away before anyone uses the shower room.
    I've also had a bath - usually its showers - and I am having a late dinner on the sofa in a bath towel with the dressing gown on top - don't need to worry about anyone finishing work early this week :)

    Difficult isn't it - she has at least 6 months to fill until she is old enough to apply and even then it could take months to go through the various hoops.
    Eldest son also had a long wait because of the trade he wanted to go into. He was working as a Saturday boy at the butchers so when he finished 6th form he went full time. OK he was fully occupied and earning money but his day off was Tuesday when his mates were at work or at college so he was bored silly and didn't know what to do with the days off.
    His mates were either going on to do A levels and then uni or in work on some sort of training scheme so it felt like he was in limbo and treading water for about 8 months until he got a start date.
