omg, I need to do a conversion of 400€ into £. Mr AJ has just given the boys 400€ to share with their gfs for the holiday and given me in my hot sweaty paw 200€
I'm going to have to make an appt for him when we come home. It's one thing paying for their holiday, but giving money away
I noticed he didn't offer to pay for my hair

I used to have straight, very straight hair. Whether it's years of hair dyes, bleaches, etc I now have frizzyish hair, but it's also wavy slightly. I always comb through after washing and dry au natural. Never used those hair straighteners :rotfl:
What products do you use? Maybe a good cut and some products will stop the frizz.omg, I need to do a conversion of 400€ into £. Mr AJ has just given the boys 400€ to share with their gfs for the holiday and given me in my hot sweaty paw 200€

We have taken our adult kids away twice - both for month long holidays to Thailand - we don't give them money before holidays but they never spend a penny.
A few years ago DS3 went on holiday with his GF and her parents, her mother not only gave him 'spending money' but also bought his clothes for the holiday. Whilst I was uncomfortable with this, DS3 loved it!
I would just tell him he is paying for your hair cut!:D:D:D

Forgot to say I paid £32 for my hair cut   _pale_
:eek:I get my done at the salon round the corner, been going there for years as she knows how I like my hair. I go regularly twice a year :rotfl: I have curly but fine flyaway hair and usually wash it every morning and just let it dry naturally. The only bit I tend to phaff about with is my fringe and then only if I'm going out :rotfl:
I don't go to a salon AJ so I only pay £10 for a haircut so I can't compare with you. I wash it at home so it's wet when I get there and I don't bother with a blow dry after.
Same here, £10 no wash or blow dryPandora's Little Sister 30/11/17 x0 -
In my little C0-op they seem to be discontinuing the Green & Blacks velvet seasalt to £1 - about half price. I got the last 2 bars :j
I only buy G&B or Lindt or similar premium grade chocolate now - even if it means doing without chocolate until the next offer comes along. But recently Home Bargains has had 2 flavours of G&Bs - milk and burn orange and hazelenut both £1 and both gorgeous - these are 37% milk chocolate so very moreish.

I still cant get used to be out and about with our adult children and letting them pay for things - we end up with gentlemen's agreements that they pay for one thing and I treat them to something else. I do let them buy rounds of drinks at the bar though as I have lime and soda usually - one adult always has to be sober
As for taking them on holiday we have not really done that for about 7 years. I paid for the airbandb house for the wedding which has 3 bedrooms and we had various combinations of children staying with us over that weekend. it was just more cost effective to do that rather than pay for 3 hotel rooms.
And before that we had a midweek break at Whinfeld and again various children came and went (but not eldest son who refused point blank and babysat the cats instead)
But the last big family break was 7 years ago when we took them all to Norway for a weeks cruise. At the time we didn't know but it was actually the last family holiday, all scattered to the 4 winds since then and apart from odd days like Christmas or New Year, never all in the one place since (not even when my dad died as eldest son was out in Afgan at the time)“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. That doesn't sound so bad  they shouldn't need too much fir spends as the gym and spa are included with some treatments each. We're also paying for some outings fir whoever wants to go. DS3 has been looking into sea fishing trips, typical if him, as though he doesn't do enough fishing at home :rotfl:Sunshinemummy wrote: »Don't forget pen and scissors.:D:D:D:D

Off to collect last weeks George order, but I can't find an email to say it arrived in store.
Thankfully my account does say it's there, fingers crossed.
When I went to collect my order I couldn't get my email to open up but the chap said if you know the email address that you did your order with they can trace it from there“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
