YORKSHIRELASS wrote: »Hi all
Well the day didnt get off to a great start as DH and I had a blazing row. I wish I could say that it has cleared the air but it hasnt. Lots of tension around here, mainly caused by financial worries.
But we went out and had a nice afternoon. Could not motivate myself to do Christmas shopping at all but the 5 family birthdays I have before Christmas are sorted!
Cant be bothered to do anything at all now.
Biggest of hugs to you my lovely. I know how much money worries can cause problems. You know we are here if you want to offload. If my lottery numbers come up all my flylady friends are getting a cut that's for sure! XMFW

If I got involved at all I'd be tempted to say that Christmas is a time for repairing damaged relationships, peace and goodwill, Dizzy.
I hope your DS gets a good night's sleep and his first day in his new role goes well, Pigpen. It's nerve-wracking, being new.
(((Hugs))) YL.
OH and I took Devil Cat to the vet this morning. He's come home with us, but she's not hopeful we'll still have him at Christmas. OH adores him, so things are a bit sad here.
I've not done anywhere near as much as I'd hoped today but I did clear up some muddles, and pruned the Urgent emails that should have been dealt with weeks ago. I'll turn out a drawer or three in the kitchen while I finish making dinner.Better is good enough.0 -
Hugs YL Christmas is a difficult time as it puts so much extra pressure on.

Massively busy day again, kids still vile - today's highlight was seeing one pounding on the door of a classroom, howling 'let me out' because they were being kept in for, amongst other things, deliberately hurling a litre of sticky fruit juice over the wall we haven't even finished painting yet.
Scooted out just before six and then went straight to the rehearsal studios to set up for Himself's band. It's a poor quality place, so I went to make sure they actually didn't waste the first 90 mins of their session trying to get equipment that worked.
Just as well I did as not only did none of the provided mics work, two out of three cables were crackling, the desk needed approaching only if wearing non conductive soles and, just to get the best out of my mood, when I picked up the cable for the bass head, the plug rattled like a pair of castanets.
People have been plugging in and unplugging every day like it for weeks, months, if not years, going by it being an old fashioned 13A plug rather than a moulded one _pale_
So the poor lad on the desk had me stick my head through the hatch and ask ever so nicely if they could fix it or change it right now, as I wasn't planning on adding 'die an excruciating death' to my list of things to do today
Got an easier start tomorrow, as I'm off to the hospital for my fortnightly bloods. Unfortunately, when I did my injection this evening, I hit a small blood vessel, so all the meds will have gone straight into my bloodstream, instead of sitting nicely under the skin and absorbing slowly. I'd better get as much food as I can in before my stupid brain reacts to the increased avaliability of the dose.
Oh, look. There's no food in the house that hasn't been left out to go off/mouldy. What a surprise.
I might just take advantage of having put the heating on to nuclear holocaust setting and take myself and my tin mug of spiced liquorice herbal tea (which is much nicer than it sounds) off to bed.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Goodness JoJo, sounds like you had quite the day yesterday!
I had yet another bad head day yesterday so apart from putting a wash on, barely achieved anything. DS is still poorly, although you wouldn't know it this morning, and was up lots in the night. I think the tiredness of the last few nights is bringing on a migraine. When we decided to try for another baby he was sleeping through, and now we are having another baby he is sleeping through about 10% of the time! Gah. Luckily he's in Nanna Daycare this afternoon, so I can recuperate a bit.

Busy work day yesterday out from 8 am until 8 pm but did manage to tidy rooms, clean loo, clear fire and bring wood in before going out so was nice to come back to. OH was in just before me so came home to lit fire, glass of wine and a tidy house (not house just bedroom, living & kitchen) but still much better than a few weeks ago and it was SO NICE!
Off out now for a busy day but have tidied round, cleaned loo, cleared fire and brought in wood and vacuumed living and kitchen. Timesheet updated (I am trying to do this daily or rather when I work as it is hours here and there and very easy to loose count by the end of the month and then it is a chore to get it done on time) So my dailies now include keeping my bathroom, bedroom, living room & kitchen tidy, loo cleaned, fire cleared and wood brought in, vacuuming living & kitchen, just a quick run round main areas.
Empty cup into DW & switch it on.
Note to all, remember to SMILE0 -
Pigpen don't even get me started on yodel they are beyond words. Our local delivery guy is lovely but dd3 was having her OU stuff delivered by them, they told lie after lie about where her parcel was she wasted endless days waiting in to find they were claiming to have been attempting delivery elsewhere WHY! She changed addy to me and things didn't improve so I spent a week publicly shaming them on twitter, I never normally do anything like that but it worked her ou stuff had been resent by then and arrived in a pristine box a few days later the original package arrived that looked as if In had been droppped in a bucket of water then left to dry out and subsequently kicked from there depot to our house. The delivery guy was as angry as he as they kept trying to blame him for loosing it. I hope you get your proper order.
Last night ds2 invited us to a pub quiz with him that was fun and this morning I've had a call to say can I come in work all day as someone is off do just going to grab done sarnis and I'll catch up with you all later.
Hugs to all who need them. XSPC~12 ot 124
