I asked for a manicure or pedicure and got a weeks gym pass! To make it worse the location is 13 miles away(over half an hour drive according to online route finders)!

Watchdog has been reporting on this one...

I cannot get an email address to send my complaint to.
  • I've never got a new nectar card - are they still sending them out?

I did this last time around, and was sent the 'free day out' voucher..

After phoning to complain, and not getting anywhere, I sent a stern letter of complaint through the post, and soon after that, I received an email with the free 'Back Massage' I wanted!

    Result!

  • Well I applied for a powerboating adventure day out, got the usual 'sorry due to popular demand...' reply and a voucher for paintballing instead.

Ok there's a paintballing centre near me so I thought I'd give it a go, called the centre to be told the nectar voucher only covers the £4.99 entry fee, no paintballs included LOL! Minimum spend for paintballs £11.

    Treat my a*se!

Ah well, no such thing as a free lunch, right?
  • I applyied for my free treat back in august and have phones about 5 times and still haven't recieved a thing
  • Hi,
Like most other peeps i also ended up with a useless day out from Nectar. I rang them up and was given the 'popular' and 'ring on saturday' blah.
I happened to ring up two weeks ago to change my adress with them and whilst on the phone i voiced my dissapointment re the treats, the guy told me that now they are offering 1,000 nectar points to those dissapointed customers that dont want to wait until their treats are available.
also you dont need to wait for the new card to arrive to apply.
I dont have the number i called, as i said it was a couple of weeks ago, but i did notice that someone has posted a number previously.
Good luck in getting your points !

I wasn't even allowed a treat as when we originally applied for the card I put my partner's name as the main cardholder.

However, I had huge problems with the beauty treat promotion run by TLC for Boots last year so I can't say that I am surprised that the Nectar one has turned out to be a shambles.
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/

Can someone please clarify the 'must be claimed by 29 Feb 2008' bit please...

I jumped on the offer months back when I first heard of it and got my second choice which was a back massage. Tried phoning the salon I'd been allocated today and was told (quite brusquely :() that they're no longer participating and to just go back to Nectar.

Did this, after queueing on the phone for an age, and though they were apologetic all they could offer was a day out voucher, so I agreed. I've now checked the rather uninspiring selection and tried ringing up to claim at one of the venues, but they only be set up for you to walk in the door with your voucher. And I'm not keen to travel quite a way only to find that the voucher they expect is not the print off thing I've been sent (and if it is, why does it have all the stuff about claiming dates etc?)

I'm now thinking is it worth it - another call through to Nectar at great effort and expense. Not entirely their fault but I'm really disappointed that what I thought was all sorted has all gone belly up - I'd only have had to hop on a bus before...

    I could only find a slightly cheaper: 0207 209 6355

    Maybe 0800 700 727 is worth checking...

I would have preferred an email address but I can't find one :(
