Yea I'd be interested to know too... I'm sure there'd be youtube uploads from it...
If you've ever seen the Burlesque film with Christina Aquilera in it, the place i went to was something along those lines, not a 'titty show' in the slightest. More just dancing, acrobatics etc with comedy acts inbetweenHowever, it turns out that the meal and show is at a burlesque type place where the staff are dressed practically naked and the whole theme is very sexual.0 -
A you know what shaped cake that squirts cream, you know what shaped everything including straws to drink with.If you've ever seen the Burlesque film with Christina Aquilera in it, the place i went to was something along those lines, not a 'titty show' in the slightest. So not much like the planned hen night!0 -

I guess I’m not sure whether the OP (and the relative) know for certain what it’s like or if they are making assumptions. That’s why it would be interesting to know what the venue is
This Is what we saw and it was very much as @af273 describes

It doesn't really matter whether the place is tatty or tasteful, the OPs friend thinks it doesn't sound her cup of tea, so why should she be forced to go? Doesn't sound mine either but, then, I'm a miserable old bag who would run a mile from something like this, tasteful or not.0

Sure. I suppose it’s nice to know what the evening actually entails. Would she go if the tackier parts weren’t there, for example?
And to be fair she isn’t being being forced to go. The organiser is being a pain in the butt but all the relative has to say is no if she doesn’t want to be there.0 -

Nobody should be forced, and I don't really enjoy this stuff either, but for a good friend's significant don't you sometimes go along to things that you wouldn't necessarily choose yourself?
I went to the races for a friend's hen do, even though I hate it and would never choose to. I went for her, not for the entertainment.0 -

Yeah, this bit makes me think it's not a tasteful burlesque revueA you know what shaped cake that squirts cream, you know what shaped everything including straws to drink with.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Sounds like my worst nightmare!!!!
Why should someone have to endure such a thing just for the sake of a bride to be?
Tell the organiser where to go, i know I would!!!0 -
The bride has no idea what is actually being organisedAnd to be fair she isn’t being being forced to go.
But the bride hasn't got the advance knowledge to say whether she thinks the plans are to her taste or not.
It would take a very strong-willed person to walk out of her own hen party even if she was embarrassed by it all.0
