Buffets are really difficult Nicki but you did your best. That's a lot of syns for curry. Did you make it?
Your dinner looked delicious as usual bubbs . Is that KFC type chicken?
Decided to give the gin a miss tonight. I've had a headache most of the day so decided to go alcohol free today. The plus side is lots of syns saved for the rest of the weekend.0 -
No dinner was from the Indian takeaway because I didn't get home until late. I got the estimated syns by google searching it. Do you think it might be too high, maman? I'd be really pleased if I'd managed to come in on or under 15 today.0

No, sadly, it's probably about right for a 350g portion from a take away. I was just going to suggest you could make curry for a lot fewer syns.
It might be worth keeping some ready meals in the freezer for busy days. I notice that Tesco do a Healthy Living tandoori chicken in sauce for 1.5 syns. I have Aldi Lamb Rogan Josh for the same syns and Pataks pilau (microwave pouch) for 2 syns (1 each shared).0 -
Sorry about the little gain. I always save my syns for booze but it does mean you need to choose what to use syns for. I was talking to someone this week who said she'd taken the car on a night out as she prefers a pudding to wine!:rotfl:

Oh, bubbs, sorry. I had this conversation on here before – syboes are spring onions. I see maman (thanks) has enlightened you already.
That’s brilliant, beanie, esmy, Midge and jay.
Hi, p00sticks.
I hope you enjoy your weekend, kathrynha.
Well, it’s been an odd day here today. I was supposed to go out for lunch but there was heavy snow in the morning, so we cancelled and I had to make do with what I could find. Of course, snow went off just before noon! It is still very cold.
Breakfast: 2 Quorn sausages (2), egg, mushrooms & tomato
Lunch: toasted wholemeal muffin & blackcurrant jam (10), fresh fruit salad with ff Skyr natural yogurt
Snack: Tower Gate mini chocolate caramel bar (5)
Dinner: hexb steak & onion sandwich
Snack: hexa 3 mini babybel light & grapes
So it’s over syns, but less than it would have been if I’d been out for lunch. Every cloud has a silver lining – of snowflakes in this case!Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -

Todays plan:
Breakfast: greek-style lemon Muller light (0.5 syns), banana
Lunch: Chicken (no skin) sandwich with 2 small slices wholemeal bread (HEB) - if it stops raining I may nip over to the shop to see if I can get some mixed salad to go with it, as we've run out.

Snacks: 35g reduced fat cheddar (HEA), clementines, grapes, 2 finger kit-kat (5.5 syns)0 -
Looks to be a nice bright day this morning but cold. No plans to go out so it's nice just to see the sun.
Had a few too many syns yesterday so will cut back today and just have a few syns and no wine.
B - baked oats with apple and plum crumble flavouring; grated apple on top; made 2 muffin sized ones but only ate one as very filling. Will have the 2nd one later
L - leek and potato soup
D - duck leg; roast potatoes; roasted onions & carrots; cabbage; Will probably have the other baked oats for pudding:D
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge:D
Syns - oil 2; no others planned

I am severely hungover but Christmas do was a fun night and I'm hoping the amount of dancing I did will negate some of the alcohol consumed!! The food wasn't great. I had a trio of starters : pate, soup and smoked salmon. Didn't eat the soup. Typical turkey dinner from which I left the potatoes. Trio of desserts which were mini chocolate mousse, cheesecake and Christmas pudding. I left a bit of chocolate mousse and considered this good. I also didn't take a portion of chips that were offered at midnight. Had two from a friend's portion. I did drink a lot of white wine though but won't drink the rest of the weekend.
Have just had bowl of All Bran and really need to plan our meals for the rest of today.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
