My leg is very sore & eating not as good as it could have been.
    It is what it is.

:T on your great loss dusty.

:T and you kathrynha but I think you're very wise to try hard this week in case having to eat off plan catches up.

Hope you're not too badly hurt beanie.:(

I remember when you used to buy the Lipsy stuff MrsR. That's a great morale boost getting into the jeans.:D

I liked your list of questions for when you're flagging kathrynha. It put me a bit in mind of the SAS logs that SW have. I've never used one myself but the principle's the same. You write everything down and then sort of review it to check where it is you're going wrong. It's a bit like some consultants will go through a food diary for you (although I think this thread is better because you can get much faster feedback:D). Sorry, didn't realise that you kept a note of everything greentiger.:oHave you worked out why it is the plan isn't working for you?

WI for me tomorrow. I don't really feel thinner. I'd love a loss but will be satisfied with staying in range. After today, food will go a bit haywire as we're out a lot and then away from Sunday but I'll be good when I can and then sort it out afterwards.:)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, scrambled eggs, HEA milk for drinks
L: cold pork, fried potatoes, beetroot
    D: SW Bolognese
    Syns: Parmesan, HP sauce

From memory I had about 30 syns left for today so will be generous with the cheese.:D

kathrynha, thanks for all those positive suggestions.

    * Do I need a break? Stay on the forum, keep going to class, but don't really follow the plan, just eat not too stupid. I can find it just takes the pressure off, gives me a chance to get my mind back to the right place, whilst not going totally off the rails.
could be this – too long not making progress, but scared to let go in case of free fall

    * Am a weighing all my healthy extras and syns, of just guestamating them?
I can say hand on heart that I do always use the scales (even checked their accuracy!) and even my DH knows to weigh stuff for me

    * Is the speed part of what I am eating 'really' a third?
it’ll be pretty close most of the time – need to up speed as I am aware that some fruits are not

    * Am I forgetting some syns?
this is always possible, although at the end of each day I do review what I’ve had and I do own up – but I need to be clear to myself that all syns will have an impact whether they are forgotten or acknowledged

    * Am I in a rut? Do I have the same breakfast and lunch every day? Do I need a change?
can’t blame this one – I need variety; that’s why I plan breakfasts and lunches as well as main meals to ensure healthy extras are not duplicated

So, after looking this over, I will
    • give myself a short break from SW. I’ll start again on Monday.
    • incorporate more speed fruit (rather than e.g. grapes and blueberries)
    • be rigorous about adhering to syn allowance, initially on a daily basis

Thanks, kathrynha. You really made me think about how I can go forward.

maman, I have no idea why it’s not working. Ha ha, I think too many years in education management, with a need for an evidence trail for every little thing, means I have a compulsion to record (and keep) everything!

beanie, I am so sorry about your fall. I hope you get over it quickly.
