Well done on your loss msm. I know what you mean about rewarding yourself with food but at least you're doing it after a loss and with 105 syns in the bank. Cooked breakfast is a good choice. It can be very SW friendly although I never trust sausages when I'm out.:)

That's real dedication msm. It must be freezing prancing around in front of the garden mirror!

    For breakfast I had

    fruit and 0% greek yoghurt
Bacon (fat cut off), poached eggs, beans, tomato. I had a piece of sausage and decided it was not worth the calories.

    Tea

Pulled beef (cooked in chopped tomato) and veg.

I now have a vision of msn running around her garden naked.... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Maman - do you make a "proper" dauphanoise or a lower fat version? I also love it (although extremely disappointed with the one I had in France on Wednesday! - it was extremely dry).

    Denise
I make it as low fat as I can but it's still quite synful so that's why I'm making it now for a Christmas treat.
I use low fat creme fraiche (10 syns for a pot) and as much grated cheese as I dare!
It's a recipe my French niece uses so quite authentic. I cook the potatoes in their skins beforehand until soft to a knife and then peel them when cool. I add the cream a bit at a time between the layers as it soaks in better that way. I have 2 small ovenproof dishes so I split the recipe and make 4 greedy portions. It freezes OK and if it's dry (or sauce needs stretching) I add a splash of milk.

So, make up the sauce with the creme fraiche, 2/3 tsps of lazy garlic, pepper and a chicken stock cube. Warm through very gently stirring regularly. Layer sliced potato with a little grated cheddar and some sauce until the dish is full. You can do one big one but then we're tempted to eat it all! I often top with sliced tomato before finishing off with cheese.

I suppose I could experiment with adding some cottage cheese to stretch the sauce but haven't tried that.
I've done the potatoes but might leave the rest for tomorrow as one of the dishes is in use for swede and carrot mash until dinner time.

    Afternoon everyone.

Welcome to Jemma and congratulations to the losers.

I had to laugh at your garden mirror story, MSM! I'm also in the market for a full length mirror. I caught sight of myself in one in a shop recently and was pleasantly surprised. Currently I have to stand on DDs bed to see anything below chest height, so I would like one of those giant 'lean on the wall' versions. I might wait till after Christmas and see whether there are any in the sales.

Yesterday was going well till I had a snack attack watching the Strictly final - should have gone out instead!

    Todays menu
B/L Boiled eggs, crispbreads and 2 tangerines
D Speedy chilli and rice. Might have some fruit and yoghurt later
